My only knock would be our choice of where we stayed, which I will follow up on with a review of our condo and the other options that were available. There seems to be some misunderstanding, miss-information or a lack of information on the board here about housing options.

I take her to the restaurant at the very west end of the beach. A real nice place with great food, drinks and food. I had a seafood platter and she ordered some rice dish with fish. All Spirit flights in both directions were on time and we actually left ten minutes early on the return flight from Cartagena. All in all, my first experience on this budget airline was great.

Sucked. I have been here a few times, the last time being 2015. First time was in 2007. From reading the reports here, I thought maybe it got better, and with it being so close to Florida I had to give CTG another try.

It's not for everyone but given the recent reports I find your experience not typical.

As noted above, it kinda sucks still. I went down to the clock tower area. It was a Friday night and I sat around in bars like Candela from 8 until 10 pm. It was just a lot of tourists and cops whenever I went out into the clock plaza area. I'm told you have to wait until late, like after midnight, before all the working girls come out. If so, then I say that sucks. Been waiting around in this hot CTG oven all day, hoping to connect later that evening. Not realizing that 'later in the evening' actually means the next am.

Tu Candela is not a hooker bar. The chicas will not come out before 10 pm. You will start seeing them in the plaza around 11 pm. Hookers will not come out if families are around. It's a cultural thing. It is off season so I'm not sure what the night life is like. Last year around this time night life was fairly light.
