A few years back 2011/12 The Copa Palace had a small club called Bar Do Copa. I have never been but I knew a young Brazilian guy who went there all the time and told me for sure there were working girls there. It wasn't cheap to get in so I'm sure they weren't cheap either. Now that space is an Asian restaurant. We had a known girl come to the hotel. She never went to enquire to the reception managers. But sat down in a sofa. She was from MC from last year. I got a lot of help from this forum. So time to share to the forum.

This was a trip, I was very confused. Should I go or not go due to some military / issues etc.

The girl that I know from prior trips. Said there are some military issues and copa is very bad. So I should stay in Barra etc.

The next thing, when I got to the airport, I got an email from USCIS (I had registered) informing that there was an emergency due to some Truckers strike. So even more concerned. Now, we think, vacation taken and so many things have been completed. So we called the hotel and asked them to send a taxi to the airport $R300. (I know it is only 50-60 by uber), but decided to play safe.

Got there, hotel taxi was waiting. As we were driving, we saw nothing abnormal in Copa / Av Nossa Senrosa. All OK. Everything normal and didn't see any military etc. , exchanged dollars. At that time 1 USD was 3.66 (in the net), but the store opp western Union in Copa (av. Nossa) I got 3. 73. Good one.

Sheraton was an awesome property, the private beach, awesome view, decent breakfast, (not a brand new hotel, but its ok). (I have stayed before at HIlton, Rio Othon, Olinda Rio, Windsor, Best Western etc. , along Copa. Also, I was able to take girls upstairs. One who went and enquired directly at the front desk, we had to do all the necessary paper work. And another day, was able to just take some one directly to the elevator. (knew this girl very well).

Also, there was a working girl (average looking) speaking good english at the bar. Are $350. My friend took her, and mentioned very average performance.
