Cab fares rarely exceed 20 k cop. To and from El Dorado Airport will cost 30-50 k cop depending on the length of the ride. Before you get into a cab in Bogota make sure the driver has his identification card hung from the front passenger seat of his cab. The card is a 8 x 11" and laminated. At the end of the ride there is a meter (facing backward from the passenger side windshield) that will read what the fare is. Also there has been some labor unrest concerning ride sharing companies in Bogota.

Not to mention I took the Metro (El train) most of the time because it was faster than the traffic most of the time, and left no questions as to what it cost (virtually nada) and where you were going.
