Thanks for sharing the info. Scary stuff, good to hear you came out OK.
Looks like they ask question in english to confirm you are a gringo?
I hear others accounts of roaming in Tijuana, but an attack like this in broad daylight puts things in perspective for a lot of us.

Posts: 2632It is quite disturbing that the ratero's attempted to rob you in the middle of the day like this. How many blocks east of Constitucion were you. Personally I avoid going to far east of Constitucion on Cohulla st. This is one reason why I constantly look to see who is behind me in the Zona. This why it is important to never let your guard down in the Zona.Hopefully this not a new trend. Glad to hear you are okay.

Posts: 1290Great post (obviously not great it happened). Thanks for sharing and some great advice.
I too am surprised they picked on you. As you said, they are likely looking for quick and easy. They gave up quickly so you are spot on. Wonder if they didn't like how you dismissed them earlier?
I'm also wondering if or how standing around made you a target. Perhaps, it makes them easier to hone in on one person. Unless I'm talking to a SG, I'm almost always moving. I just felt that is safer. But I also wonder if it increases my chances of running into the bad guys.
I've had one experience near the bridge. It was nothing like this, not as serious. But your comments about them working in pairs, with a lookout matches my experience. And like you, I immediately knew what was going on. Awareness and instinct likely saved you more of a headache. Again, thanks for sharing.

Holy shit, that's scary. Glad to hear you're okay and lost nothing but time and enjoyment. Thanks for the report.
I made possibly my shortest trip to Tijuana, ever, and I was specifically looking for WSWs. I spent 7-10 pm Wednesday night strolling back and forth between the majestic corner and the little strip east of constitucion where Danny got mugged. Also made a couple stops into hotel Leyva. At Leyva, I asked the front desk guy if he knew anyone named Jamie, and he just shook his head. Dunno what I expected. I stopped strolling only to rest my feet for 5-10 minute intervals by sitting inside chavelas and on the sidewalk benches in front of Ibiza. Is it just me or has the average attractiveness of the alley chicas gone down considerably in the last few years? Most of these girls are just. Buzz, your girlfriend, woof! The only WSW I saw was Cindy and she was looking awful. What a wasted trip. Can't wait to come back.

To Danny Davis.
Thanks for sharing this chokehold incident.
Sorry to hear you were victimized. Glad that you got the better of the perps. You should report details of this chokehold to Tijuana policia so they can do something about it. I have seen 2 cops stop their patrol car on constitucion and raided hotel Michoacan at the school girl corner. They quickly napped 4 guys, loaded them into their cramp patrol car and hauled them off. They do know their criminal targets.
The bros should stay around the bar block and the alley. If you have to go outside of that zone, go with 1 or 2 wingmen.
Don't expose yourself and get victimized. Stay safe and have fun!
Made the post within an hour of the incident. It happened around 1 pm, full daylight. I mentioned sparing you the details earlier, but the operation works like this. There's a spotter who makes a cell phone call to the hitman. I got targeted because I was standing in one place for about 20 minutes. I was on medium alert when I looked to my right and saw a guy nod at the perp approaching from my left. I instantly suspected trouble, but my back was to the wall and I stared menacingly at the perp as he passed right in front of me. He entered a store to my right where the spotter had been standing. He came out seconds later and asked me for a light. When I said I didn't have one, he said, "Shit man, cops. Come inside. " Naturally, I'm like, fuck you dude, and walked away. I cruised around the block a few times and came back to the location about 30 minutes later. I didn't see either of the rateros. I chatted with WSW, Cindy, and started back in the direction of HK when it happened.
I'm not pretending to be a bad ass, but I have 50 pounds on the guy who jumped me. I'll tell you, it was fast and a solid chokehold. He was a strong fucker, and I'm fortunate he didn't get the best of me. Still, it surprises me that he would take on such a challenging target. I was dressed down, just t-shirt and jeans. Nothing really to suggest that I was a gold mine. Not sure what he was thinking, but I will tell everyone this: 1) Always turn your chin into the elbow of the arm that's choking you. This will prevent them from cutting your circulation. 2) Fight back. If you can't get loose, bend down and grab one of their pant legs. Then stand up and pull that fucking leg right out from under them. If you can't bend down, release your legs and drop to the ground. They will not be able to hold your weight and it will break you free. Roll onto your back and kick the fuck out of them. Remember that you're buying time. They want a quick, easy score. Serious resistance will send them scrambling.
It's a shame that we have to worry about this shit, but remember that there will always be an element of danger in what we do. Don't let your guard down. On that note, I want to thank everyone in this forum for the updates. I read about the chokeouts, and it truly changed my perspective on the zona. It helped prepare me for this situation so I want to thank everyone for contributing their stories.

I've read posts about the choke and rob events. Guess what, I just experienced it. I was on Coahuila, east of Constitucion. I'm going to spare you a long description, but a guy came from behind and threw me in a chokehold. I'm 6'3, 225#, and I work out daily. It takes some balls to target me considering that these guys have many options. Still, it's quite an adrenaline rush to be suddenly thrown in a chokehold as you're casually walking down the street. I turned my chin into his elbow and violently spun him off. It literally lasted less than 2 seconds. He retreated back into a building after we exchanged a contemptuous glance, but it was clear that he was watching me for a bit. In any case, here is a description of the perp. Latino, early to mid 20's, tattoos, white wife beater tank top. Jeans, and what looked like a waiter's napkin tucked into the front of his pants (maroon colored, FYI). Seriously, he may actually work in an establishment on that stretch of the street. He got nothing from me except for an indication that I was going to put up a fight. Still, it's a damper on what should be a festive day. Be careful out there.

Posts: 2632Those are both good locations, but they are hit and miss. Personally I like to keep walking around. I typically arrive around 7 pm.

Posts: 135How has Lindsay"s service been recently? I was in Tijuana a couple weeks ago, but did not see her out.
There have long been reports by several other guys that have claimed to have butt fucked her. In the few times I have been with her, the last of which was almost a year ago, I have brought up anal, but she quickly refused claiming she never does that.
