February 2019 Cucuta, Colombia trip report.

The weather was warm in Cucuta that the temperature was about 90 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and about 70 degrees Fahrenheit during the night. The round trip EasyFly fare to Cucuta was about 100 USD from Medellin (EOH).

The layout of Cucuta is generally flat and I did not see the hills and valleys like the ones you see in Medellin. The Cucuta is located about 7 miles from San Antonio del Tachira, the border town at the Venezuelan frontier. I have visited this town because I was curious about the mass exodus of people fleeing from Venezuela. Near the immigration and the crossing bridge to Venezuela I saw that the place was chaotic with unorganized flee market vendors, long line of taxis, all types of people walking with their luggage and many young men with hand trucks eager to help the traveler with their luggage. There were hundreds or thousands of people waking and hustling in the dust that I literally could not walked comfortably without bumping on them.

The action to find the sex was located near the Cucuta bus station called "El Callejon" or "La Septima Avenida. " I've stayed at Hotel Mary located front of the bus station for the convenience as most bars and clubs were located in this neighborhood. The hotel rooms were cheap and clean but there were no hot water for the comfort. The better hotels were located at near the Ventura Mall, but for me they were too far away for the action. On the first night, I hopped on the taxi from the hotel and went to the high end club called Club Bahia which is situated about 5 miles toward the Venezuelan frontier. The chica price of Bahia was about high as Las Isla in Medellin. The girls were beautiful here but I did not liked the place because it was isolated from the other clubs and I saw no strippers dancing there. Later I've noticed that in Cucuta there were no strip clubs exist like the ones in Medellin.

Like I said before I've stayed at Hotel Mary in the neighborhood called "El Callejon" because most bars and clubs are located in this area. From the hotel I could walk to the bars and clubs so I did not need the taxi to visit them. Everyday for three nights I've went to Bar Villa Luz, Club Nueva Tijuana, Popoito, Bar Silencio, La Tercera. From here I've walked 5 minutes to Grill Las Colegas and Club Elite on the other side of route 70.

Most bars I've visited were blasting with deafening music and at the entrances there were bouncers inviting passersby hustling them in. Inside club, I saw that the layouts were similar to the strip clubs in Centro Medellin without the striptease dancers. Inside the clubs I saw the guys offering ladies drinks, talking and dancing with them. I found out from the meseros that the price to take the chica in the back room for the full service was about 35 k COP for half an hour. Price was so good that sometimes I took 2 or 3 chicas for wild sessions. In all these establishments I've visited I saw only the Venecas (Venezuelans) were working and did not see any Colombianas. Also, I found out that some of these beautiful girls I did the session were university students in Venezuela. Some of these young girls told me that they were majoring chemical engineering, medicine and law while mature ones told me they were business owner and restaurant chef.

Near the bars every evenings there were many street workers (all Venecas) soliciting sex. I was quoted 20 k COP for half an hour from most of them but I did not ask whether this included room price.

In the past when the economy was good the Venezuelan guys came to Cucuta looking for Colombianas. Now the situation is reversed that Venezuelanas are coming to Cucuta soliciting sex for money.

I was feeling chilly in Bogota and wanted to warm up and explore somewhere new, so I went to Villavicencio. It's 3 hours by bus over the mountains, 28 k minibus every 10 minutes from Terminal Salitre, so a lot easier than getting a flight to the coast. Villavicencio sits at the foot of the Andes on the east side just across from Bogota. The climate is hot and humid, I like that, and it didn't feel as opressive as in Cartagena. Villavo is a typical Colombian departmental capital city, nothing extraordinary that you have to see, but not unpleasant either.

I made it my mission to chart all the P4 P options available, so using established procedure, I did my research on co. mileroticos.com followed by sneakers on the ground.

From the outside, none of the casas are visibly different from ordinary residences, so you must have the exact adress to knock on the right door. It's recommended to use the numbers to call before visiting using whatsapp or phone. Search for the numbers on co. mileroticos.com to see their pictures.

La Oficina Spa, Cra 39 #26-47 (entrance under a big tree), 80 k 30 min, 150 k 1 h, 3143985954.

3 girls were present, the papasan has many more girls with pictures on his phone, available to call in at short notice. He asked for 200 k but accepted 150 k, and didn't mention any half-hour option, so negotiate. Paid for an hour and had a good time but after a pop at the half-hour mark the girl only wanted to chat but could be persuaded to give a 10-minute massage. Not the best value.

There are hotels in this area, too. I stayed at Terraza Hotel, Carrera 33 #24-119, which was pleasant and good value on booking.com.

I can recommend Bioparque LOS Ocarros, 5 km out of town, a kind of zoo with many interesting animals from this side of Colombia. Could be a good place to take a girlfriend for an afternoon.

In summary, Villavo has options like any city in Colombia, but nothing to make it a special destination.

Leticia, Colombia

If you are in Leticia, then mongering is not the reason why you are here. There are tons of excellent places in Colombia filled with gorgeous chicas and much better weather. However, if you are looking for a girlfriend for the night after exhausting trips to the jungle there are places you can visit here.

There is a place called Excalibur Bar, pink color, one story building on La Frontera (Internacional Ave) between Calle 7 and 8, right in front of the convenience store. There are two places with girls sitting in the chairs in front, bar and private rooms are in the back. It's a short walk from the hotel district in Leticia, no need for a cab, place is fairly safe, even at night. There are several stores across the street and a night food stall. You can also take a cab for 2-3 K from the center of Leticia, if you stay by the river. Talent on hand is mostly brought over here from Medellin and Cali to work for few months, about 10 to choose from, ranging from 4-8. Since there is not much competition cost are far higher than in BOG, it will cost you 80 K and there is not much room for negotiations.

Further down the street as you cross into Brazilian town of Tabatinga are few places on the left as you cross the border, but they appeared dodgy and unsafe. There is a huge local dance parties in Tabatinga if you happen to be there during the weekend, place is called Compra, if I remember correctly. Any cab from Leticia can take you there. 15 min drive for 30 K. It is for sure a sight to see, and if your Portuguese is good you might get lucky.

Stay in Leticia, on Colombian side, much more pleasant then Tabatinga.

Gardenias, just get a city tour from a taxi driver (15 k COP or less) and he will drive you past it. I walked by one night (I was already occupied with a non-pro Paisa I met on a jungle tour) and there were about 20-25 chicas working and maybe 10 mongers. It is important to note that every bar / restaurant / nightclub here is an open-air outdoor affair without air conditioning, and the heat and humidity here is oppressive.

It was merely a matter of happenstance. After spending three months in Bogota, my tourist visa was up, so I took the bus to Ecuador. Then I spent three months, when again my tourist visa expired, so I took the path of least resistance and hopped the border to Ipiales. I've been here for two months.

Ipiales is a cool city. Over all cost of living is pretty cheap. Lots of places offering lunch for 4,000 or 5,000 COP, and you get your standard fare of soup, carne a la plancha (a lean cut of beef, basically a small steak), rice, and peas. Or you can have chicken or carne a sudada (which is beef with some sort of vegetable topping actually quite tasty). I recommend hotel Torre de Cristal in El Centro. The initial price was 60,000 but they did a deal at 50,000 since I was staying for a week. Incredible hotel. You get a nice desk to work at, comfortable bed, flat screen TV, daily maid service (and the lady really goes to town, they even bleach the room every day so when you come back it smells like a pool). Basically indistinguishable from any $100 a night hotel in North America. And the WiFi is phenomenal. I stayed at a few of the places around here, such as Hotel El Nogal, St Andres, and LOS Andes and they were all reasonable and in the same price range but Cristal offers the best value by far IMO. I dio not know if they are chica friendly, but suspect not, as it is sort of a classier place and it seems like Ipiales is a little more conservative in this regards than say El Centro Medellin where they don't bat an eye if you bring in three or four girls..

Laundry in Ipiales is around 1,000 an item (massively cheaper than Bogota where I was paying through the nose). Actually one downside of Cristal is I think they are charging me slightly more for laundry than they were at the other places, but it is not a big deal, still quite reasonable, shouldn't be more than like 20,000 a week in total.

I'm not sure about daytime brothels, I think all the places on Via Rumichacha as well as Natalias on 3 a are nighttime places.

Also, right beside Natalias is another club, Divas. I went in to check it out and ordered a water for 3 k. Then this obese chica was badgering me for a drink and the waitress was going on about something I dunno what the whole scene was pretty depressing so I just left. Then the other day I went to Natalias but it wasn't open, so I checked out Divas again, and there were a couple guys passed out on the sofas and I didn't see many girls so again I just booked it. Dunno, I get a weird vibe from that place.

Taxis are pretty much a flat 4 k unless you are really going somewhere out there. A Fronteras trip is more and there is a mild additional fee for midnight travel. I've also ended up in a couple of gypsy cabs, which is never really an ideal situation. If you cab it to the border at night you won't really have any other choices though. So far no problem, they seem to charge 5 k, although the way they ask it seems like it could be negotiable but these guys are obviously grinding pretty hard just to get by so I don't bother to haggle. The cars they are driving are pretty LOL. The one guy who brought me back from the club on Rumichacha was clearly drunk as a skunk too, judging from his hiccups and the extremely slow / careful way he drove.
