With the Netflix hit series 'Narcos' came the renewed interest in all things Pablo. Unfortunately for the MDE, the city & Colombia will forever be linked to Pablo & the cocaine trafficking. The locals don't like it & even the taxistas & UBER drivers frown when we ask them to take us to Pablo's_ Some people still remember and or have forgiven his sins as there were flowers on his grave last Sunday.

HOTEL: Hotel Egina on C47 & La Setenta (70) was recommended by a friend. I recommend not staying there. They told us we would have to pay 50 k COP for every Chica after the first one. We were ready to leave & fight with booking punto com & our CC company's for a refund as the Hotel refused to give us the refund. We had a POW-wow with the Hotel Manager, Juan T. Wed am & assured him of our discretion, no noise, no drogas, no fiestas & no loud music. He said he would make an exception for us if we left a good review on Booking punto com, which we will. The rooms were nice enough, I think I got lucky & had the penthouse suite on the 8th floor. My friend was also on the 8th floor & we had it to ourselves as I didn't see another guest in the other 2 or 3 rooms the entire trip. I think they wanted us separated from the rest of the guests! Haha. No in-room safe so when we went to Guatape I put my passport, cash & ccs in the hotel safe Sat am before we left. They told me I could only access it during office hours. What they failed to tell me was the office and was closed on Sun so I would not be able to retrieve my stuff until 6 am Monday when Juan T. Got back to work. I had to borrow Chica $ from my friend which I hate doing. If I had a flight on Sunday, I'the have been f-ed. I bitched and complained (never raising my voice) so much that they called the mgr and he cane by and opened the safe about noon or so. Anyway, very nice hotel, very nice rooms, I would have to say it is not Chica friendly tho. Also the steam sauna was awesome!!

Egina is my hotel of choice. I have stayed there 6 or 7 times. I always get the suite or junior suite. The standard room is as big as a bathroom.

They always copy my visitor's ID and let the up. They usually call me to come down when one shows up. I had never been charged or even heard of a 50 k fee. But 2 weeks ago, I heard from a friend that a friend of his was told of the fee at check-in. So I emailed the hotel company and was told that it's a long-standing policy. I then called the hotel itself, and spoke to one of the front desk staff and then a guy who could have been a manager. He told me that it is a company policy but they "waive it for me" as long as a chica doesn't stay overnight and / or eat breakfast. My friend has stayed there a few times and he has never heard of the fee either, so it must not only be waving it for me.

I would call the hotel chica tolerant, not chica friendly. I like the area. Relatively safe, good restaurants, supermarket within walking distance. Jumbo mall a couple blocks away.

Do the Colombian women on this site have USD expectations? This site is great to find non pros when using it in the states but after Jooks reports I will plan on trying it for my next trip to Mde.

I did a few dates off SA my 1st trip to MED. I'd say they expect more $ since they deal with to them are rich gringos mostly. I set up 2 TLN (all night) dates for 300 k ea.

Didn't use it on my next trips though, one date was cool and cute, the other had old photos and was a crazy party girl, wanted me to go to a after hours party at a house in the hills after we hit some bars, I declined. Might have been fun or I might have ended up in a shallow ditch.

I prefer the strip clubs where you can see the girl in the flesh and talk to her some 1st and gauge her attitude and sexiness in person. The make a TLN date after a test drive at the club to make sure she is fun in bed too.

One night, 5 guys and 2 girls.

Next night, 6 guys and 20 girls.

Night after that, 8 guys and 7 girls.

Next night again, 2 guys and 18 girls.

The cost also keeps the number of men down. I joined for a month at one time. I think at that time a one month subscription was around $40 (this was a year ago). Now one month is closer to $90. So unless you are going to seriously use it, most guys are probably not going to pay that price just to screw around.

Numbers are definitely misleading. Only a small number of the men on the site, on any site, ever pay. Which means they can't set up any meetings. A certain number of the female accounts are still accounts used by the website to convince you to pay a subscription. Other female accounts are scam accounts, people trying to get you to visit another website or do something other than set up a date.

Then there are the women who stopped checking the site after days. Any dating or arrangement site has the same issues.

Great report man. You went to all the spots I go to in centro. You are definitely right about the quality of service. Paying more doesn't mean better quality. I love looking for my diamonds in the rough in el centro for sure.

Had a great first trip to Colombia mid-June for 6-days, two in Cartagena and four in Medellin. My buddy and I are experienced mongers having been to Costa Rica, Panama, DR, St. Maarten, Curacao, multiple times over the past decade, Colombia has been high on our list of destinations but we have not been able to pull it off until now. It was worth the wait and can't wait to go again.

A little background, I am early 40's, gringo with basic to conversational Spanish, by friend is early 50's, Latin with fluent Spanish. We are both married so not interested in networking on Facebook, Tinder or Colombian Cupid, lining up GF Chicas and building a contact list for future trips. We are in-and-out, fuck as many as we can in a few short days, and forget them. It's not everyone's style, but works for us. So here was our trip..

(2) Men can also sign up as Sugar Babies. And many of the sugar babies are in fact men seeking Sugar Mommies.

So while the number of men and women using the website may seem equal, the sugar daddy in search of a female sugar baby is still likely enjoying the much higher female to male ratio.
