Moving to San Diego might be expensive. Tijuana is not. I knew a manager at a San Diego McDonalds. He lived in a 2 bedroom apartment in Tijuana for about $300 per month and took the trolley every day to work at McDonalds. The rents in San Diego are about $1000 per month more than Tijuana. If you want a lifestyle of going to Tijuana, start learning Spanish and watching DVDs in Spanish. Recommend you start with Pimsleur Spanish CDS and Spanish flashcards. The more you are able to talk about movies and events to the chicas in Spanish, the better you will do with them. Remember, when in Rome, do as the Romans do. I. e. Dress and look like an upper class Mexican as much as possible in long sleeved shirt, pants, and boots. Look around Tijuana and copy the classy looking locals, without looking rich (no Rolexes and other mugger bait).

I see a few requests for some guidance in Tijuana. While I'm not as experienced as many on this board, I do feel like I can provide some guidance. And because of all the help this board has been to me, I almost feel obligated to do so.
I am not local. But if anyone is interested in heading down at the very end of September or very early October, PM me. (Yes, you'll have to pony up the site fee, but given the value of this board, it's money well spent.).

I am a Tijuana newbie that is interested in making my first trip here in the next coming months. Will be rolling solo. I plan to stay for two nights and bring about $700. Will this be enough for a good time? Also, are there any regulars here that go to Tijuana weekly? I would very much like to turn this into a lifestyle of going to Tijuana / Hong Kong bar every weekend to basically have a blast with tons of hot women. In fact, I'm already making plans to move to San Diego as soon as possible once my financial situation is settled.

Posts: 425I seriously doubt she was a tranny. Escort service sending a trannie. Never heard of this happen, ever.
There is something else that made the hotel not allow her in. Something that has to do with either her or you.

I wonder if you might be confusing Hotel Jalos with the Leyva Hotel.
The entrance to Hotel Jalos is a stairway up from Constitution's sidewalk just north of Chicago Club's entrance. The desk clerk to Hotel Jalos is on the second floor, where all their rooms are.
The ground level entrance and front desk to the Leyva is north of both the Chicago Club and Hotel Jalos.

The problem is, I have a few favorites in CC, so I'm forced to use that hotel. Wednesday night, I wanted the room for and hour and I gave the bastard 40 US, and when I got my change, I received 6 bucks. I asked him WTF? He was charging me 4 bucks for lubricant. I asked him, "Did I ask you for fucking lubricant?" he returned my 4 bucks.
You should have gone into CC Monday night, I was there and they now have a good amount of women and some are great looking.
Thanks for your report.

Posts: 1283Wow. That was potentially a nightmare! Not sure what to make of it. I suspect it's one of three scenarios:
1 -he's a tranny that obviously caused issues with a past guest.
2 -Not a tranny but caused too much trouble in the past.
3 - And I suspect this is most likely given the sequence of events. Security did not like something about you. For them to come to you, basically search your room, before Manie arrived, tells me they suspected you of something. And then to have a girl arrive immediately after that made them nervous. The "camera" story is obviously bogus since you had no one there. But they were suspicious of something.

I have never had any problems bringing any girl from the street or from other bars in and out of Cascada. The reception guys even teased me to go ahead and bring up 100 girls a night if I want to.
So there must be some sort of problems with Manny. These security guys know their targets.

Posts: 6519Date with a pretty student in Hotel Leyva
Got to admit, the Leyva's reception guy is curt and surly. But you did not mention what he did to peessed you off so much. Leyva should put a couple naked girls at the reception desk. It would book a lot more business with horny guys hehe.
I don't know of any new rooms in Leyva. I stayed there a Friday night 2 weeks ago. The old rooms in the 4-story wing next to Chicago was $21 plus $2 key deposit. The rooms are about the same size as Cascada but with the shower and head behind the bed. The shower's small window opens out to Chicago's wall with about 1 foot separation. The mattress is firm, sheets and towels fresh and clean. I feel better in Leyva's room because I don't have to look at the shower and head all the time. Rooms on higher floors on Constitucion side are larger, some with 2 double beds. I remember paying like $25 for those rooms.
HK girls would go to Leyva for all nighters after their shifts. A few street girls walked with me 1 short block to Leyva for sessions. I don't want to pay $70 for a single room in Cascada on weekends. That price peessed me off.
Have a dinner date with a pretty student this weekend. After dinner it would be easier to drive the car fast and straight into Leyva's parking, instead of leaving it for HK's valet guys, which would look too obvious. Hopefully she does not know Leyva is in La Zona Norte. If she objects I would just drive out and head to hotel Ceasar hehe.

I had an interesting event at HK. I called for Manie from Queens having called couple others from Foxys earlier.
As usual she was late, but finally I got message that she is at the reception. After a few minutes there was a knock on my door, I opened only to find hotel security there.
They asked if I have someone in the room, I said no and they can take a look. One of them came in and checked.
The main guy said they saw something on camera so wanted to check is someone was inside without permission.
I told them I was actually waiting for someone but she has not arrived.
Then I get a text that hotel is not allowing the girl to enter saying only HK girls can go up, can I go to reception and help.
I went down, Manie was there saying they are not allowing her. I asked the reception guy who radioed someone and then asked me to wait.
I turned around and saw the main security guy who had come to my room few minutes earlier, I asked him what's going on.
He said Manie is a transvestite and he had issues with guests in past, they have checked his ID and would not allow him into the hotel.
If I want I can take him to another hotel. I trusted the guy and said I don't want to deal with this, they asked her to leave.
I went one floor up by stairs, and saw Manie leave in SUV he / she was driving. I was surprised to see a working girl driving a rather posh car.
I had a long text conversation with Queens after that, she kept saying that Manie is a girl and I can check her panocha if I wanted.
I told her that hotel would not allow Manie in so there is nothing I can do. This ended the conversation.
I am wondering if Manie is actually a tranny or a troublemaker and I dodged a bullet thanks to HK staff or HK staff just stiffed a working girl to promote their own girls.
Thoughts?

We have a poster who often says that the overnight rooms at the Leyva is only $20 or $25, but the price you paid is more in line with what I believe are actual room costs at the Leyva. But admittedly pricing at the Leyva can be confusing.
Leyva has no S / T room rentals, all the rooms are overnight rooms. When mongers want to rent a room, the first question Victor asks is "Do you want a room with or without a television?
If you pass on having a TV, Victor will assign you a single room in the oldest remaining wing of the hotel. This area is a 3-story structure that is butt up against the Chicago Club and Hotel Jalos. These are the cheapest rooms, they are small and noise impacted by the Chicago Club. I think they cost around $30 (I don't know the exact amount in dollars, I always pay in pesos).
You probably said "Yes" to the television question and got a room in the (relatively newer) 5-story tower facing Constitution Ave. The rooms are unspectactlar, but generous in size. Good luck with all the stairs to climb if you get a room on the top fourth floor (the 5-story tower has no rooms on the ground floor).
The newest section of Hotel Leyva is in the southwest corner of the property. Previously this section was the oldest section of the property, but two years ago these oldest rooms and vacant retail space was torn down completely and the new rooms and new lobby was constructed in 18 to 20 months. The new construction is attached to both the old wing and the tower structure, so now the Leyva looks like a large "L-shaped" building with matching outside facade.
Its hard to understand the prices of Leyva rooms. Singles in the old (no TV) wing cost a little less than singles in the Tower. I don't know what the room prices are in the newly constructed portion. The Leyva also has some double rooms in the Tower that cost more than the Tower's singles. And on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights the Leyva charges more (about 20% higher) than the overnight rates Monday to Thursday nights. Some doubles have kitchens, other double rooms do not, but there is just one weekday rate for the double rooms in the Tower, regardless of whether the double has a kitchen or not.
