I'm trying to picture where Floresta Station is in relation to the Stadium. My morning run took me first to the Stadium. I think going from Cra. 73 and then I made a right (N, W, E, S. No idea) and ended up at another station with a big open area and lots of vendors. Would that be Floresta?

I don't know E, W, N, and S there either. Florester is the next station past Estadio if you were going from downtown. Floresta has a lot of vendors around it, but it's not an open area. I think you probably went to the Suramericana station. Going from your hotel, you would turn left at the Estadio station to go to Floresta.

Yes, I was right next to the second park. I'm not familiar with the Floresta station. Is it near the Stadium station? Stadium Station was about 1 km from me.

Any advice on how best to look for either an apartment or hotel in the area? My concern is that I won't be able to tell from the address where the apartment or hotel is located.

Medellin is loaded with Mexican, Italian, Japanese, Peruvian, American etc restaurants because a lot of people aren't huge fans of the native Colombian food. IMO it can be very satisfying (e. G. Bandeja Paisa), but it's not fine cuisine.

I love Cali. As the other poster said, it's much easier to find non-pros than in Medellin. And if you're into dancing (Salsa, Afro-Cuban), you will love it. Provided you're staying more than a few days, you can immerse yourself in the scene and you will meet lots of non-pros. Weather-wise it's hotter than Medellin, but not as hot as Cartagena.

It sounds like you found the restaurants near the First and Second Parks of Laureles. If you go a little further out, near the Floresta Metro station, you will find many local restaurants. You will not see many tourists. You are also close to the metro, so you can get to other areas easily. Uber is readily available there. I have stayed in a couple of airbnb apartments in that area.

Of course girls have no problem going to Centro. I hope no one really believes girls from Paris or Comuna 13 do their shopping at Santa Fe or Oviedo Mall.

Nice call on that many of these girls will be from areas worse than Centro. Throughout much of the day I've reached out to about a half dozen of my FB girls, and frankly asked if they would have a problem with going there. Not one has. So I'm going to rest assured I don't need to worry about this.

So I've got confirmation from all 3 Airbnb hosts that guests are no problem. I can work with building security to help check the girls ID's to make sure they are of age. I guess I can now focus on the other stuff like scams, or getting drugged, or just dealing with poor sexual performers. I'the like to think that Facebook will have a relatively low percentage of scam artists & thieves?

I think that because you can take a look at their FB profiles going back years that often include photos with family, etc. And that this gives you much more info about the girl than a Tinder page or certainly photosprepagos page. I'm sure scams occur on FB as well. I'the like to know what negative experiences others have had.

You can post reports without including personal details or identifiable full facial photos without girls' permission. This kind of "rat amongst us" issue comes up pretty regularly. I can't remember ever seeing something similar on the Colombian counterpart forums. The reason is you never find candid photos of girls who haven't given their permission and you never see personal details. Believe me, girls are fully aware of the Colombian sites.

Exercise caution with your reports. Unfortunately, I just found out there is a rat among us, in the MDE forum. A girl that I would definitely repeat is pissed about photos that I posted (I can certainly understand, but in my twisted mind, I would also think it has helped her business).

Why? The majority of the action is in Centro. What other neighborhood can you stay in where there is so much action within walking distance if you are staying in the right place? What did find you "intolerable" about it, personally?

I just got back and I'm planning a return in the near future. I could use a little advice to make for an even more perfect experience on my next outing.

1. While I was happy with my hotel room in Laureles, I wasn't overly thrilled about the particular location in Laureles. It was okay, but a little touristy. I stayed at Inntu Hotel on Circular 73 if that means anything. The main thing I disliked was a lack of "good" restaurant options nearby. The area is crowded with restaurants and tourists, but the restaurants are mostly touristy and are mostly Mexican, Italian or American. It seems Colombians love pasta and hamburgers. I do too, but not in Colombia. Is there a less touristy section in Laureles to stay or perhaps Envigado close to restaurants and shops? However, compared to Poblado, Laureles was far superior in terms of tourists.

2. I've never been to Cali. Is a side trip for a few days to a week worth it? I hear mixed things about Cali.

So I'll be returning to Medellin. Plan on returning to New Life, Aiffe and the Maracaibo Bar. Is there any other casas that you would recommend? Any strip clubs? Anything in general? Like the 18-22, since I'm young myself. Also the street areas? What street are they? Would greatly appreciate. Trying to write a great report when I come back.

Did you make it clear that you were asking not only about the host's policy but also about the building's policy? At least one guy has reported here before that he had an ok from the host but still could not take a girl to his room because of the building's policy.

Here's a free multi-million idea for someone. Start a web site called HobbyingBnb. Accommodations for Mongerers.

That is actually a terrible idea. As you yourself alluded to the building's policy. No neighbors anywhere want hookers paraded in and out of their building. For this main reason airbnb has been banned by the govt in Thailand and in most cultures where prostitution is tolerated locals use love motels.

I lived in Colombia for 3 months, not sure what was worse the food or the service, it was so bad, even in the good restaurants Girls not bad, but not for me prefer Russia or Mexico.
