My experience for better and worse.

I can understand how the system has evolved but it is quite remarkable in a place that is notorious for scammers that this particular line of trust can exist and has done for a long time.

I don't want to provide an air of legitimacy to these requests but Sunny may be referring to the numerous "Boking Open" girls online who require a "DP" or deposit to lock in a time or until anything is provided. I've never seen one ask for full payment upfront but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Most of these are written in abbreviated Bahasa or heavy slang so are not intended for the average Western punter but to keep local penniless freeloaders away. The DP is generally waived for a legitimate and big spending Bule.

I'd agree that any request written in English for full payment upfront would be immediate cause for termination of any discussion. To International TT funds would be lunacy.
