Well, the best girls in Vietnam are down in KL, Seoul and even Jakarta. Viet girls are similar to Viet Cong, among the most mercenary. I've never had great service in Vietnam, there is always something that they complain about. In summary, they want the money but they hate their job. And want to trick you. Some girls in Pham Ngu Lao are beautiful but it's a hit or miss. Just stop the bicycle guy that rings a bell around PNL, it's the sign for massage and tell him what you want. I've always had OK experiences with them. Just don't take all the money with you and use another hotel room, usually they will provide and it's included in price. For 1 mil you should get a nice girl. Otherwise it's not worth it.

I have spoken to a few girls to check out local prices. All of them are asking for at the very least 1-1. 5 million for a short time. I mean I know it is not that expensive compared to places like Australia, Japan or Korea. But considering it is a stones throw away from Thailand where I can usually pick up various, good looking and young girls for 1000 baht I find it kind of ridiculous. On top of that the ones asking for this kind of money are definitely not the best looking girls.

I know what your going to say. 1 million is not that much. And you are right. But all the girls I have met asking for this price so far are old and nasty. If they were in their 20's or even early 30's and did not look too bad I would not really have a complaint.

So my question is this. Am I missing something here? I hear from a few people saying its good mongering here in HCM. But so far I have not seen anything to support that at all.

I'm generally a lurker on the forum, and have been punting long enough to be able to generally work it out myself now. A cautionary tale from a fellow punter friend of mine about Saigon worried me enough, though, to RTFF, and thank you to posters for tempering my expectations. My trip ends tomorrow, so I thought I'the share my perspectives that might help Saigon newbies like myself.

1. Hotels. It doesn't appear to be any easier or harder to get girls into high end or cheap hotels. Paranoia drives me to book a pricey hotel (Reverie this time) and a cheaper hotel for punting. It was equally a hassle to get girls in, and seemingly impossible after 9 pm, except the night I hooked up with an English lass. I did not see one girl available to be picked up in any hotel I visited.

Tinder I got a date, which was interesting and I probably would have arrived at the gates of heaven if I'the persevered, but I lost patience. I think in many cities you can have a strategy and stick with it. I think in Saigon you need to have multiple approaches and try different things in a day. And when you find something that works, hold onto it but don't stop keeping your options open.
