Agreed. Yes, the real estate is valuable, there is a new high rise condo going up right behind Tulip and the land 24/1 is on is ripe for development and I do think most will disappear. Why they will not reopen in elsewhere is another story. The looks of the gals at the PSE shops is really hitting rock bottom. Most times when I wander into a PSE shop I'm just turned off and put off my game. Fat, unattractive gals, almost all with baby damage. Sorry, that's not good enough and certainly not worth paying for. The PSE shops never attracted the top talent, but now, jeez! Eventually that will kill the entire business model.

There just aren't enough Thai women that are PSE performers and very few of the Asian punters demand as such. Thai gals are becoming more not less conservative when it comes to sex. Shame.

But soapies, which IMHO are the good kind for looks / models, has gone down very fast. First, there was nataree and that place had so much business so I'll them up again due to how much business was lost, that was like 4 soapies going down at once. Since then, these places and more have closed: ceasars, The lord, copa cabana, amsterdam. That's like 75% of the ratachada business just gone. Amsterdam and ceasars already have development going on so the closes we're probably motivated in part by real estate developers.

Now I think soapies we're shut down because they take up so much real estate. Maybe oillies won't have to shut down since there isn't much of a land grab? But, I think it's funny that the pornstar oillies are operating SO close to the family area of Bangkok, which is them Quartier and the nearby park. Since most of Bangkok is not at all stroller friendly, this place is the upscale family area. For gentrification purposes, those oillies might be moved or shut down. That might be why the police presence is ramping up and not down.

Overall I think oillies will continue to stay in business since they don't use up so much real estate, but they do use a lot of water and that could get them shut down if they are causing infrastructure damage to nearby hotels.

I think these places have simply become unprofitable (although they make some money, they can't make enough to pay off the police too as prostitution is illegal in Thailand).

After being in Thailand from 2012 and currently (6 years), I've seen these shops go from great (amazing models or just plain hot babes), to bad (old, fat, ugly) very fast. And in these last 1-2 years, they are going from ugly to just plain out of business. Well, good riddance. Rather see these places get put down than get dragged out anymore. I just wonder what happened to all the amazing beauties that used to work in Bangkok / Pattaya. Are they in macau or Korea now? My guess is yes as the East Asian economies grow larger middle and upper middle class populations who have money to spend on P4 P (it's no longer the need that Thai working girls rely on foreigners coming to Thailand, there is enough customers outside of Thailand now that Asia is developing into a first world society).

It has been a while since I posted on the site. I lost my password and finally now I was able to recover it. But who cares right, I think you just want my report. So here it goes.

I visited BKK in mid April this year, for Songkran, and I decided to adventure and try a massage parlor, with full service, for the first time. I didn't bother to actually read the ISG reviews so be aware of it. In any case one day walking by BTS Phrom Phong station around 7 pm I came across a small block with several massage places in Soi 24/1 (not to be confused with Soi 24). The first shop I saw was "Candy Massage" and the ladies were calling customers enthusiastically haha, it caught my attention so I went in to try it out.

I went inside and mama-san greeted me courteously, she even offered me a beer (not sure if that is customary since it is my first time). She was very nice and spoke good English, if I recall her name was Gigi or something like that. Anyway, I told her that it was my first time and ask her to guide me thru the process. She was very straight forward and explained to me about the prices and the type of service provided. She asked my if I had any particular / special requests so that she could point out to the ladies that can accommodate for my needs to narrow down my pick hehe.

So, the ladies lined up. There were about 10 ladies and I'll say most were between 6 7, may be an 8 but then again everyone has different appreciation of beauty right so don't judge. I forgot the name of the girl I pick already but I remember the service I got was very good and her English was fairly good too (oh by the way I picked one of the girls mama-san recommended).

What I will describe next is new to me but may be for more experienced fellow ISG members is already old, anyway.
