As far as KTV nice if you can find it. I think you will need a Chinese insider to locate a westerner friendly KTV w takeout. I was not successful. But love Manhattan regardless. As SamCan says taxi driver may get confused. Going to Blind Pig is your best bet and a great pregame warmup.

Show your walked and all KTVs will be westerner friendly haha, if you mean the language barrier, well, almost no girl speak English, but you can ask the staff and maybe there are some university students or foreigner girls (mainly Vietnam and east-Europe girls) that can speak English.

Of course as usual SamCan has solid info. I would echo the fact that there are plenty of early twenties type gals at Manhattan (I have no real Judy's experience). In fact two out of the last three I've taken fit that bill and my two mates took young ones as well. Plenty of young talent there.

2. I have never done KTV but your pricing is right for J / Ms.

3. The number of chinese customers at J / Ms has increased, The girls preference are guys with money not race.

4. Manhattan's and Judy's are behind the portman hotel (ritz carlton) located on Nanjing Lu. Take a cab there and walk a block around back. Or ask the taxi driver to take you to the blind pig restaurant / bar. Its right next door to manhattans / 2 blocks from judy's.

5. Never done an STD study, hope to never find out.

6. Judy's and Manhattans can open at 930 pm. Usually no one is in there but one or two girls you may not want. 1030 pm-1 am seems to be the prime time with the most choices. I have stayed to 230 on nights I really didn't care if I went home alone (it was after a long week of banging). Girls start to recycle by then from their first dates. It seemed like the girls were less willing to negotiate at that time. It's like they made their money on the first round and were holding back. I have heard that about 5 am prices drop way down. I have never cared to stay long enough to find out for 200-400 RMB.

Yes, I have gotten better prices and my standard negotiations has always been a target of 1000/2 pops. If I want the girl and can't get the price, I will pay more. I have only paid 1500 once when I was brand new to this 5 years ago and it was for an overnight. I negotiate the pops before I leave the bar. It scares some girls away but I'm not left wanting. If I don't want or can't do 2 pops, well they win. I have seen guys get 5-6's for 600-800 RMB. I have landed a solid 8 (that banged like a 9) for 800. I had already brought a girl to my room which was nearby. I went back to just have a beer as the night was young. This girl kept hitting on me as I was the only guy alone. I kept telling other girls no. She was desperate. It was her first time and night in shanghai. It was 1 am and had no one yet. The MP's, Judy's and Manhattans are a waste of time and money.

When you take into consideration the time and money for the taxi and drinks, 1500-1800 for them to come to you is a good deal. And your on your own turf. (overnight is around 1800-2000).

Problem is you have to keep in touch via WE CHAT.

Every now and then there are people like you comparing using dating sites to the bar / MP / Saunas / escort / usual mongering options.

It surelly is an option amongst others, but it doesn't make any sense saying MPs or bars are a "waste of time and money" when you say you end up paying 1500 to that girl and considering the chating time necessary to find and keep these contacts.

I actually understand better the guys who use dating sites to get freebies but then again we all know nothing is really free and for people who've used such sites before we all know its a huge time sink and not compatible with a busy working life and mariage.

Enjoy your dating sites but I still view MPs as much more efficient money & timewise

I saw many before when just walking around 10 years ago, but the last few years when I was just passing through I didn't manage to see any in the areas I stayed at. I know there was a big crackdown before the olympics, just curious if they never quite came back?

They are stilll loads. But you need to go to the less developed areas.

I'm new to this forum, but it's a lot that I'm lurking here, and it was very useful in organizing my trips.

So basically the weather will be very windy until mid November, for the international expo that will take place from 5th to 10th of November. In the Chinese forum (I'm an oversea born Chinese that can speak and read Chinese), they say that some saunas are already closing up before the real crackdown, for 3 months, and the one that are still open don't have a lot of business because the people are afraid of going, for now until the end of the expo it's better to avoid saunas, MP and barbershops, the safest options should be the pick up bars (never went to one in shanghai before but looking at the forum reports, they should be fine), but seems that the girls available aren't that many, or ktvs, but they tend to be a bit pricey, around 4 k, if you go with the qq groups (they are qq chat groups that arrange KTV parties), and that includes the KTV room, drinks and the girl that will stay with you overnight, you can just take the girl too without participating to the KTV party but you need to be a regular or have someone to guarantee for you.

Better to change to nearby cities like Suzhou or Nanjing (I know, not very near, but it's only a little more than 1 hour with the high speed train).

I wanted to ask a couple of questions about those MPs offering full service for around 1200 plus taxi.

From what I'm reading, they are decreasing, but from the websites, there are at least 7-8 various websites with different girls.

Can anyone share their experience, recommendations on which websites have the best quality girls and what to expect from the full service? (extras like CIM, rimming).

Also, is it that easy to just use wechat, agree on price and service with girl, meet at Lobby or in front of hotel to make sure she looks like the "selfies" she will have hopefully sent and then come up with me?

They never look like the pictures, and the service almost invariably sux. Don't take my word for it, it is a consensus opinion if you go through many pages of various China threads. If you want to fuck WGs in your hotel room, then try M or J for takeout or read the last 10 pages of the forum for reliable indies. I think many of us are staying away from agencies and ordering from MPs these days, especially using WeChat, which is easily monitored, because of a recent arrest of a well known agnency owner and because of anticipated windy weather. That's my 2 cents.

Agreed. Things are unpredictable in China right now and us "foreigners" are carefully monitored. Err on the cautious side, even if more expensive!

If you have 1500ST I would highly recommend Manhattan. And that is the standard ST rate. I am sure others may say WeChat or whatever which is cool for them. But for me I like to see the girls up close and personal and not risk a no show or bait and switch with my very limited time. Plus the experience itself of being a truly sought after guy at the club is great fun by itself, which most of us have not experienced before. You will feel truly loved! 😀.

There is of course no real guarantee of CIM and YMMV. My experience is the younger ones are more likely to give full on GFE and not try to get by short changing you. I am new to the forum and (relatively) new to SH, living and working there for 6 months speak some Chinese these days, taking 1:1 lessons. I had a tryout at J&M two weeks ago, staying at the Portman for convenience. Booked through trip.com to get some good last minute rates.

Both clubs had some good action going on, with lots of nice girls. I found Manhattan more relaxed, found some people at the bar to chat to. Nice to stay there for a while and watch the action.

No problem with the hotel, we were a bit discreet and just happened to be in the same elevator.

Around midnight Nanyang / Tongren Road gets a little bit so so, danger of pickpocketing according to the girls. Best is to take only a bit of cash with you if you stay close by.
