I just got back from a very short and busy visit to SH. On my one day off I went to 76 Changshou Lu and was very disappointed that the place is closed with a big paper sign taped across the doors in Chinese. I could not read it but it seemed clear the placed was closed, and not just for the day.

After that, I went by an old standby BBS near Gubei Lu and it was even worse. Not only was it closed, but the front wall and doors had been demolished and a new concrete wall had been built in its place.

Finally I went to another massage place and got a good, thorough massage for 298 RMB. Aaagh. Thanks to a suggestion on here, I made sure to get her Wechat for the future.

Ah, too bad about 76 Changshou Lu. When I first went there, I got hooked, and then I started going there about 2-3 times a week. It was a no-brainer. It was near where I worked, and almost every day at work I would ask myself, "should I go get a 268 RMB BBBJ?" and it was rare when I thought "no. " But eventually, I got tired of the dirty floor, dirty shower, and dirty bedding, the many customers waiting their turn, the providers that were 3's and 4's, the very tiny towels, and the surly guy at the front desk. It seemed like everybody knew about this place. I saw Europeans, Americans, Koreans, Indians, Japanese, and of course, Chinese guys there. It probably became too much, and the LE had to shut it down. But I truly enjoyed the place for a while and I am sad it is closed.

Wouldn't the new Sauna that operate out of a rotating set of hotel rooms be more safe?

Always moving from location to location, under radar, hotel likes the $ and if totally discrete no complaints from guest far safer too?

Safer than trying to operate a regular sauna now, but definitely less safe than before because they are not giving envelopes to the police anymore.

M1 NT technically is a club, with an annual membership fee. With membership guaranteed entry. Otherwise risk being turned away. It's been maybe 4 years since I was a member, so working from dated info. A buddy showed up there last Wednesday and couldn't get in until he called a friend who is in M1 NT management. So definitely suggest calling / emailing the club and reserving. Tables, as I recall, had a minimum spend. Again, my info is dated but recall it was on order of RMB5000. +/- depending on table size, but you get the general idea.

So I checked in with what had been a large and thriving sauna on Xian Xia. Now they seem to hop around every few weeks from hotel to hotel. This is the 4th location (that I personally know of). I've stayed away since prices appear to be north of 2,000 in the current climate. However, they sometimes run a 1,300 special for the 7 xx, 8 xx and 9 xx girls. Still more than it should be, but I need a young hot thing every now and then. I wish they would just do out-calls like an escort service. However, saunas seem to be all about control. No out-calls.

Yea, most of the massage parlors in Shanghai are legit, but if you only go to ones with telling signs then surely you will have better luck.

I've had the habit recently of trying the mid-range chains where from first appearance it's not obviously totally legit and not obviously 'special'. I would consider Spring and Fudi in this category, and they give he, but I've had no success at chains such as Yuwutong and Junyuefuqiao, despite similar opening hours and menu price. Does anyone know of other chains that provide extras?

Basically, they now direct known clients to a hotel room where the girls are sleeping / lounging around. 3 pm and only 6 in line-up, but all pretty hot. They hop to attention and let me pick. Pulled a 23 year old, fashion model like, super thin, very small tits, maybe 8. 5 by my ratings. We relocated to another hotel room they rent out. She was extremely nice. Given the new arrangement, girls take their cell phones to rooms (unlike in a formal sauna). Advantage is you can try to talk them into making friends on wechat.
