Is it common for Thermae girls to ask for taxi money after LT? I gave some taxi money to this particular girls since her service was satisfactory.

As is usually my style, when the number comes out of the girl's mouth the "for what" details come out of mine. Which basically is either a full CIM finish to a BBBJ or a True GFE. Her true, long lasting love for me did not survive that revelation (either one, with me at least) for the 3000 to her or any other number suggested by her so I thanked her for her time and attention and bid her and the bar farewell.
Wound up with a lovely first meeting FL dating site option that night for a thoroughly satisfying all nighter that set me back 2,500 and I will definitely repeat with that one.

First of all. I don't care what anyone says but the ladies working at Hooters cannot be bar fined. There is no popason to talk with or negotiate with. If you have a chance to take a Hooters girl out, it is purely between you and the lady and no one else.
Recent trips to Soi Cowboy have been excellent and I have had a great time at Sharks. They sometimes go topless. I had 3 really good sessions from their with an ex Pretty aged 28 and two little spinners and they were all true GFEs. The only negative was the constant badgering for LDs from other staff other than the lady I was with. For the newbies, if you oblige, the badgering will continued ten fold. TheBae fine for a normal girl is 700 and they are often better looking than the so called coyotes they have for BF 1500 and 1000 after midnight.
Went into Play Scool in Nana and found a real 21 year old spinner and received another true GFE. The only nice girl in the whole place. Truly a diamond in the ruff. BF 850 and 3000ST. Name Noy.
I have been to Tulip to see an old regular of mine View who never disappoints for 2,300 Baht for 2 hours of complete GFE / PSE action. Number V25 at Merci massage on Ratchada is a steal at 2,300 Baht and is multi organismic. I've also had a few great sessions at club 102 for 3,200 each for 90 minutes in a jacuzzi and test drove a new girl at Snow White whose name I just can't place now but gave another true GFE for 2. 100 Baht for 90 minutes.
If you use Zalo app, you can find some really hot Vietnamese ladies working in Bangkok. They stay at Nana condo on soi 4 and another condo on soi 6. Some are extremely hot and they can be had for 3,000ST and offer incalls. This is a steal as they frequent Spasso in the evening and get 6,000ST. Just yesterday I had Mina. She also shows up on We chat now and again so give it a try.

Every girl I have gotten out of thermae, but one, has purportedly been a part timer. Most of the bar girls and gogo girls I have had allegedly started the same day. I was her first.

I have posted before about competitions that 2 mates and I would have to see who could get in and out with a girl for the night in the shortest time. It was so easy back then (the record was just under 2 minutes).
It has changed a lot from those earlier times.

A few times back I visited Thermae for the first time and was somewhat overwhelmed. Indeed, while I find fishbowls in general awkward if the girls can see you, I vastly prefer that setup to Thermae's racetrack (like in Macau's Grand Lisbon, except this time it's the guys who are doing the walking).
I walked in the back door this time, which was interesting as it goes through some sort of toilet area and there are some girls hanging out. I remember someone saying before that girls inside Thermae are vetted to be real and not post-op TS or LB, but it seemed pretty easy to just sneak in the back and there were definitely a few of the taller, bigger structured girls that I was skeptical about (just like my WeChat debacle a few days prior). I know definitely some of the girls hanging around outside in front along the street are LB.
I did one or two laps this time, and wanting to select quickly I narrowed down what I was feeling up for that night (although a good 75% were acceptable). Looking for someone slim, natural body, and especially a nice face without too much makeup, I happened to find myself standing next to a cutie who was maybe 5'2" but very slim with what appeared to be natural BS. She also was dressed cute and not too revealing which I was feeling that night. While many of the girls there were super pale or had on whitening makeup, she had naturally light tan skin with flawless complexion. After minimal pleasantries went right into it and asked how much? She asked for 2500ST. While I knew I could get less if I wasn't picky or negotiated hard, I didn't want to spend too much time and I think 2500 all in was ok. Unfortunately she wouldn't budge on CBJ but would allow DATY and kissing (no DFK but I'm ok with that).
Well, her performance was quite good with a very nice, natural body in the room. Many positions, she said she came (and certainly put on a good performance in DATY), and her CBJ was on point. No complaining and was very wet, with very sensitive nipples, and encouraged me to manhandle her tits. Fun. At the end she was so tired she decided to go home rather than try for another customer, and she told me she lives far away with her family and does this for some extra cash a few times a week only. No reason to doubt her story, especially since she didn't seem super pro, more semi-pro. A decent experience and I may try to find her again in the future. Excellent English also. Gave her an extra little bit (200 I think) as "taxi money" and as she did not pressure for tip at all probably would have been happy with only the 2500 we agreed on. I think what mattered more was treating her more like a gf than a provider.
Incidentally, does anyone know the history of Thermae? I feel like it just kind of popped up in the last 3 years, when before it was all about Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza in the Asok / Nana area.

"ao" is a very informal word, so "mai tong gaan" is slightly more proper. Adding "thanks very much" at the end is like saying thanks for the help anyway unless interpreted as sarcastic. Thais normally answer "Mai Khrap" in my experience when they are asked a question including a verb so that same verb would be understood in the answer. Would you take this? Answer "not (take) thanks". So I don't believe I hear it very often. More normal is to include the desired verb, where in English we don't.
Perhaps "Mai Khrap" can be interpreted as "Mai Tong Gaan Khrap" (I don't need it) which may seem softer than "Mai ao khrap" to some. Ao is a very common word though, so not a big problem to use it. Girl "ao mai" (do you want (me)). Answer "Ao si. rew rew" (yes absolutely and urgently)! Thais like euphemisms. The girl won't usually ask "do you want to fuck me?" "yet chan mai" It is a bit too direct and rather profane. Maybe she could be naughty and ask "boom boom mai"
You can check with a Thai Language teacher, if they agree with my views. I did study Thai for years, but don't have a teacher for recent years.
Perhaps I will ask my teacher, the implication of using polite "Khrap" too much to inferiors. I am not clear if Thais will think we are just extra polite, or perhaps not understanding Thai custom if too polite to people younger than ourselves and not in a position of official authority. I don't see my GF being too polite to young sales persons. I think she uses "Kha" sparingly. Obviously extra polite to monks and older people in the community though.
"ja" maybe a good alternative to "khrap" to be more polite but less formal. Maybe requires Thai skill to use correctly though.
I remember one Farang hearing "khorp Jai" from his Thai Mrs. a lot, then used it with a monk, which was a big mistake (rather impolite). Should be used to those of inferior status only, or sarcastically when "thanks" but not meaning it, like Thanks but I did not want it. So I only ever use "Khorp jai" when reluctantly taking or receiving something.
Yes it is better to err on the side of being too polite. Therefore as Farangs, it does not matter too much if we add "Khrap" a bit more than we need to.
To salespersons I try to use the Thai equivalent of I am just looking so far "Khae duu chery chery khrap". I don't think think sales persons in department store are really aggressive compared to some bargirls. LOL Street sellers, maybe, but I just refuse to talk to them at all. I don't feel compelled to waste my talking to every person on the street that accosts me. If a tourist needing directions to somewhere that is different.

Here is what an aggressive salesperson thinks the instant you say "Mai Ao" ("I don't want it") to his item or service; "Well, of course you don't want it, Sir, because I have not yet fully explained or demonstrated all the wonderful features and benefits of my handy-dandy gadget and service. Please, if you will just slow down, relax and step inside to allow me to go over a few dozen of them to afford you the opportunity of at least knowing the fantastic value you might miss out on!"
See what I mean? You are not actually telling them "No. Stop." You are only telling them they have not yet done their job as aggressive salespeople to fully convince you of the value of their item or service. How can you possibly KNOW you "don't want it" if this top drawer salesperson has not even told you anything about how it will change your life for the better or shown you how wonderful his or her massage skills are? His new challenge now is to get those features and benefits into your life.
On the other hand, saying "Mai khrup, karp khun khrup" ("No (politely) thank you (politely)") to an aggressive Thai salesperson is saying "NO" to the whole damned idea of them approaching you at all. And, as you say, not only being polite about it, but being EXCEEDINGLY polite about it. Ok, let's even say unnecessarily exceedingly polite about it. No matter. Not only does it shut down their immediate impulse to keep trying to show you why you ought to buy that thingy or accept their service, but in Thai culture they are particularly averse to crossing that double (polite) request to just take NO for my answer and stop.
Anyway, all I know is when I see my farang friends saying "Mai Ao" over and over again as the Thai salesperson/freelancer/ladyboy/shop worker is pulling at their arm or the street vendor is following them down the soi continuing to show them this style of sunglasses or that model of cellphone to continue their sales pitch, I can almost guarantee that same aggressive Thai salesperson will stop dead in his tracks and back off the instant I quietly, pleasantly but firmly say, "Mai khrup, karp khun khrup." And they'll even be gracious about it. Anybody reading this, try it and see if you get similar results. Or at least better results than the usual "Mai Ao."

It is important not to Wai the hooker before she Wais you, and then only respond with a half hearted one, if you like her. LOL One could look silly or childish not understanding Thai customs well enough, and paying too much respect where not expected.

I'm pretty sure that it also saved me a fight in the bar with one of the aggressive drunk WG at stumble inn 2 years ago. Sometimes I even pretend to not speak a word of Thai or not understand it to get rid of the unwanted ones.
I agree that it's pretty difficult to know who and how Wai so I never do it unless they do it first.
