Not sure it's prudent or useful to give my personal cell phone and I won't have a Brazilian phone until I'm in country. Wonder if any have any advice. Try using an active phone number you find on the internet. Perhaps a hotel. You don't even need to be staying there. Back in the day when they required a Brazilian social security type number, I just hijacked one I found on the internet.

1 well written review by a "forista" with a good track record, I. E a forista who has written a substantial number of TDs is worth more than a bunch of TDs by foristas who guys with no track record. Some providers try to game the system by creating fake gpguia accounts and self reviewing. These are pretty obvious because these accounts only write few TDs. Do the "TD count" of the reviewer is in some ways more important than the TD count of the provider. I. E quality over quantity.

Yes, that's true. If there is a prolific reviewer or two, that says a lot. If you can find a superstar with many prolific reviewers weighing in, you can avoid YMMV girls. I'm sure older guys want an escort who has had some experience with different demographics.

P.S.- Tripadvisor drives me crazy with the amount of reviewers with only one review. Very bad quality control.

Looking at organizing my first trip to Brazil shortly and at this stage planning for most of my time to be in SP. I've read a number of posts and the reports of distinction, but hoped I could get some direct answers to the below if possible:

1. After reading some descriptions and checking out some photos posted I'm just conscious the most common 'type' in Brazil tend to be your curvy types, where my preference tend to be towards petite / athletic builds. I get that in a city as large as SP, of course there will be some girls which fit my 'type', but will this severely limit my options?

2. As a complete non-Portuguese speaker how big of an impediment will this be? Are there some options completely off the table because of language barriers?

3. I've read about a lot of members, finding girls details and then contacting them via whatsapp before they get there. Where are you finding these girls to start with? Tinder? Agency sites?

Appreciate any advice any of you might have to give, and hopefully might meet some of you in person when I'm down there.

You won't have any problems finding your type. Go to Scandalo or Casaero or any of the big Boates in SP really and you will find all types. Almost all my girls from the ten girls in seven days tour, fit your description. Karina, Carolina, Mary, Thifany, Duda — all petite (Thifany is tall but petite / athletic body type).

You will be OK with English but it is a real shame if you don't put in the effort. You can improve your experience by 3 x by investing $98 and 10 hours in Pimsleur Brazilian Portuguese. The girls absolutely love it.

Did you read my posts about SP escort sites? They are within the last 10 pages. Those posts should allow you to do your own evaluations better.

Listen to Rovnak! Escort websites are not WYSIWYG just like they are not almost everywhere in the world. Don't get a hard-on from the photos. I suggest trying to learn how to read gpguia the local reviews or translate what you don't understand. It take a few minutes to figure out how to find the highly-rated escorts. Find the highly-rated girls then move to the on-line photos. Twitter photos are less photoshopped.

I remember having this discussion with some guy last year who was on the ground who claimed he was just randomly selecting girls from photoacompanhantes. He couldn't be bothered with reviews. Point and click! I think he had Amazon Prime or somethin'. It started off great, then it progressively got worse and then he stopped posting about his experience.

A "day trip" LOL! You make it sound like it would be several hours away. I do agree that Moema is essentially for daytime action though when it comes to mongering. All the good nightclubs are somewhere else in the city. Except for the restaurants, I found Moema to be pretty dead and boring at night. One girl I was talking to at Scandallo did tell me that there were some good swing clubs in Moema though. She asked me if I wanted to go to one as her partner LOL!

Before I describe Moema at night I want to say I am not lobbying that folks stay there. The beauty of the metro opening is that it is now possible to stay in Other parts of the city and visit Moema via metro during rush hour or vice versa. It just opens up a lot of convenience in either direction.

Moema at night depends on the type of nighttime action you are looking for. Its definitely not as dense as Itaim Bib / vila Olympia when it comes to swanky bars or baladas. It does however have several blues and rock type clubs not far from Chanes 57. And it has the largest concentration of swing clubs perhaps in the world. But in general I agree that it can be boring at night for s visitor. But that was why I had said that if you stay there you can uber at night to otherplaces and at night you don't have traffic issues. So the recommendation was never predicated on the nightlife. When I first arrive in Moema Bahamas was the top club in the city and American Bar, now Zeus was roaring too, and the old Cafe Photo was very close and a lot of fun. Now both are pretty dead unfortunately and Photo relocated to its presentlocation. Chanes 57 is open late and its more like a men's club with garotas.

My impression of Moema was that at night where you wanted to go in Moema -restaurants, bars- were spread out. There are far less hotels than Jardins, but with AirBnB that's a minor issue.
