The room, facilities and her massage skill are actually quite good, almost equivalent to Golden Lotus (a franchise "heathy" massage shop in HCMC), but these are not the reasons I was there. Anyway I will recommend Vien Dong hotel for HJ and little Tokyp for FS. Pricey but girls are much more pretty there.

I've tried Orchid: it's owned by 2 who used to work in Mai. Linh there is great fun but can't take a great pounding. There are 50 plus massage joints in D2, 90% are full service.

If you're offered a shower it's promising.

Only the crummy ones start with a poor massage.

Visited d2 to see what the score was with massage. Went to a know joint down past the now closed down monhue restaurant. 2 pm.

Mid 30's lady in a blue dress appeared. Not sure if manager or not but asked for massage. I agreed an hour and she took me upstairs. Huge room with a small window hole in the door. Many signs saying they are a legitimate massage parlour and no naughty business LOL.

It's been a few years but I used to be a regular there only because my hotel was very near. They had some hotties with nice boobs albeit higher priced than most other massage parlors. Oh and no FS. At least not when I was there but did get a nice BJ. I wonder if Benny's is still there? Now that was a great hot toc / low price / nice girls. Again, no FS. You have to get their number and have them come to your hotel. At least that's the way it was when I was there 10 times between 2008 - 2013. You can always go to Apocalypse Now club and get a freelancer if you can stand the loud music. There are lots of other bars near there too (downtown).

I do understand why there are so many negative reports about HCM, poor service, kept waiting, mechanical etc. All totally justified because that's what the bros experienced.

But almost all the recent negatives are for spas in D1 and that's why I say Forget D1.

For less than 100 k you can be in a taxi or a Grab to D2 where you've more chance of a positive experience even, if you play it right, a GFE.

There are a few duds for sure so I'll suggest 3 sure-fire spas in my order of preference.

This place got a lot of attention when it opened. A flurry of posts from new accounts especially on another forum. The publicity from the early police raid probably didn't do any harm either.

However, it really is a low value tourist trap and not IMO a hotspot.

The women aren't cute, even in the photos they show you for selection. My pick could have been another woman. She was maybe 4 years older than stated (that's standard practice of course) dumpy and had a kid so her breasts were like balloons five days after a party. She was friendly. I'll give her that.

The standard rooms are 1 m vnd. Cramped plinths and steam and sauna if you want them, the baths are awkward to get in and out of, not comfortable.

Basic routine is bath then oil massage (hot stones if requested) then topless pretend BJ, then HJ relief. Then they wash you and help you button your shirt. I really mean pretend BJ: they hold your cock as far from their mouths as a karaoke microphone. Some of the women might perform better than others, but the whole point of Zeus is that you pay a fixed rate and should get a standardised service.

Right now you can do much better with the massage girls on Bui Vien. They ask 200 k but most accept 100 k for one hour oil massage. Always better to be firm on the ticket price as this gives you more control with the tip. Not all are attractive by any means, many just Zeus quality, but there are some real cuties to be had, 18 and up.

I tip 200 k for happy ending, 300 for topless and kissing etc. If for some reason I don't want relief and they give a decent massage I tip 100 k. In some shops they offer private rooms for 200 k ticket. Otherwise, both in the afternoon and in low season you often get a room to yourself anyway.

So if you just want a cute girl, oil massage and HJ the BV shops are a better deal, 400 k versus 1 m.

Some of the girls will provide BJs (negotiable) and some will not. One or two shops do FS and ask 1 m vnd plus 200 k ticket: better than the China-type places as at least you also get a decent massage. But much better quality on kynu and similar for 500 k plus 50-150 for room.

If you want a professional BJ use the hot tocs. Rushed and no massage, but 300 k /400 k versus 1 m. Cheaper but more crucially better quality.

With the BV girls you get to see and chat with the girl before you commit.

Perhaps it's not a coincidence that you have to pay Zeus up front. Always a bad sign. If that had not been the case on my visit I wouldn't have paid, would just have walked. With the hot tocs and BV MPs you pay tip and ticket when you leave.

Finally, if you want a girl to take you around, eat with etc. Then talk to the language students in the park. They will buy you a cheap lunch or a coffee, then accept an invitation to a more upmarket place for dinner. They are more educated, speak English, are presentable and not embarrassing to be seen with like the hostess bar girl types. I think they are probably a better bet than hooking-up online.

Mai Spa remains my favourite so far. Was actually there this afternoon! Diva is also good but can't tell I had a good experience at Spa 49 as the choice of girls is quite limited and the lady I got was like asking for 2 millions and didn't want to low down the price. I then passed.

2 more places that according to me worst a visit:

In the treet in front of Mekong Merchant restaurant. After Tama river Japanese restaurant (so on the right side of the street). There is a small spa with around 6 ladies to choose from. The owner gives you naked massage if you're lucky. Loved it! Overall damage: 300 ticket and 1,000 FS.

Also, if you go up to the Vietnamese street of District 2 called Quoc Huong, there is a backyard (near Duong LE Van Mien) with 6 or 7 different massages (Thao dien Spa, welcome spa, orchid spa.).

I tried Mi Mi spa the last time and can't tell I was impressed by the lady skills but same damages in terms of money. Will the others one in the near future.

Format in each of these is similar: you arrive and ask for a massage. They'll assign the girl whose turn is next. If you want to just ask to see all the girls: you'll probably make eye contact with one who appeals more. She'll be happy to be getting a shot out of turn. Off you go upstairs. In the room you're offered a shower: take it. Back on to the table and the massage starts. If it hasn't got interesting before the flip it certainly will after. You negotiate. FS in all is 1 m, sure they'll try to stiff your stiffy for more but just stay firm on 1 m. Sorry for the bad pun.

She'll usually leave briefly for a wash and a condom, on her return you get her naked and away you go.

If you're doing it right, you'll want to extend to 90 minutes.
