    Chica-Friendly Hotels in Medellin?

    Hello everyone,

I am heading to Medellin next week, and am looking for info on chica-friendly hotels in the El Poblado and Laureles areas.

I had seen previous posts describing Hotel San Fernando Plaza as chica-friendly. But recent posts by others in October 2018 indicates that they were charged a hefty amount for any "guest" not on registered when you checked in. I was going to stay at this hotel, now I'm not so certain.

Personally, I would rather stay at a nice hotel initially, before potentially utilizing the recommendations for Airbnb and smaller boutique hotels that other members have indicated are chica-friendly.

I'm sure there are many others wondering the same thing, so any feedback on this topic would be most appreciated.

    Recommendations on places to stay.

For those of you that are also looking for one. I had a horrible experience at hotel Fernando plaza. They would charge 200 k for each guest! Don't know if that is the norm but seems a bit pricey for 1 guest.
Oh man, I am going to Medellin next week and had decided on this hotel, based on the fact that others said it was chica-friendly (that all they had to do was register with their IDs). But based on your experience, perhaps their policy has changed? Were you trying to bring the girls in for an overnight deal, or during other times of the day, just for an hour? Would appreciate any feedback you'd be willing to share.

I may rent an apartment since I know for sure one girl I will meet, but maybe to avoid problems with apartments owners if I bring several differnt girls, could be better to pay for some "cheap" motel for hours, so anyone knows of some motel or love motel around park lleras where you can stay just by hours clean and cheap?

Searching on medellin I found some motels like thematic suites, cupido, 3 the and ibiza, but seems like are far from poblado area.
Casacol has many apartments for rent there. Short term hotels can be fun too and they are not that expensive. I used Ibiza a few years ago and I enjoyed it. They are not that far from Poblado, a short taxi ride. Also better to let the chick handle the reservation and check in, if your Spanish is not the best.

The only love motel I know of close to Parque Lleras is Motel Las Cabanas. Not especially cheap, but I've heard it's clean. There are several love motels in Laureles close to the La 70 area, if you take an apartment over there instead. They are fairly cheap, but I never visited any of them.

I have stayed at numerous airbnb apartments, as recent as last month. I look for one's without a doorman, then I write to the manager / owner and ask if local guests are permitted. The only real problem I've had was caused by a previous renter creating problems with the local residents. I was still able to bring in guests, but the taxi couldn't stop in front of the building.

I posted a review few days ago in MDE thread. . I saw upto three chicas a day with no issues. I used to be a big fan of Airbnb but they have become a pain due to city wide systematic crackdown. Now I stay in licenced hotels without chica fees.

    Good luck and have fun.

    Epic Hotel

An option for those who are looking for a hotel near Parque Lleras is the Epic Hotel (https://www.epichotel.co/), across the street from Patrick's Irish Pub, on the edge of Parque Lleras. It is almost new. I think it has been open about a year. I inquired at the front desk last night, and the guy told me there is no guest fee if the guest doesn't stay overnight. The rates range from 180,000 to 250,000, depending on the room and day. I did not ask specifics about what is considered "overnight". I've never stayed there because I always stay in an apartment, but it is convenient for anyone looking to find a chica in and around Parque Lleras.

    Energy Building.

The place is great. It is pricey but they are girl friendly. No issues at all.

    3. Is less than $70 a night.

I hate paying chica fees, I just want to bring a chica in or out, but I still want their ids checked by the hotel for my protection, that's why I am avoiding airbnbs.

    Thanks for your help.
You may want to check Viktory Boutique Hotel (yes, that is the correct spelling). It is a new hotel with 11 rooms, two blocks from Parque Lleras in Poblado. I see rates from $40 to $98, depending on the web site. I'm guessing Serena Realty is the management company, and they have it listed at $65. They also have a couple rooms listed on airbnb for $40, but they are pretty much booked. All reports are that it is chica friendly with no fees, but I haven't stayed there.
