What are your thoughts guys on the quality of girls etc at EDSA entainment complex. Near Baclaran station / Pasay?

Yesterday was my last night in Manila. I was staying at the Manila Hotel in Malate and it was boring as bat shit. It was full of local, high society people attending weddings, golden anniversaries and college reunions. Every lady was dressed like Imelda Marcos. As a foreign tourist, you get no service or attention here. Staff will only respect you if you are wearing a fancy Barong. I reckon I was the only foreigner in this hotel. The previous night I did take in a hooker from LA Cafe who was wearing hooker clothes and no one cared.

I couldn't get a taxi as the line of chauffeur driven SUVs dropping off the beautiful people was too long. So I walked along Roxas Blvd and cut through to Malate. I used the Diamond Hotel as a landmark and just walked around aimlessly. I felt completely safe in Malate. The biggest risk was tripping over a homeless person sleeping on the sidewalk (every few metres), walking into a big pile of garbage or falling down an open manhole.

I was tired, my libido was zero and the last thing I wanted was more pussy. I then stumbled across a small bar called Speedy Bar, which had live music. The owner pulled me in said "Come in Sir". It was another girly bar. There was one long bar counter and about 10 hookers sitting up against the wall. I sat at the bar and ordered a local rum on the rocks. The mamasan kept asking me to choose a girl. I said how much and she replied 3,000 bar fine, plus a tip to the girl from your heart. I assumed that meant all night. While I was having a drink, a steady stream of Chinese, Korean and Russian men came in, spent 2 seconds looking at the line up, picked out a girl, paid the bar fine and left. No one bothered having a drink, talking to the girls or buying LDs. In fact, I'm not sure if they have LDs here. No girl approached me. They just sat there. In the end I told the mamasan I had no energy because of too much boom boom before and she understood my situation.

I then paid the bar tab and left. This was a nice little bar and has a lot going for it. The girls were prettier than the FLs at LAC, the drinks were cheap and the musician on guitar playing cover songs was very good. The owner and the mamasan made me feel at home. I will definitely visit this bar the next time I am here.
