Last night around 8, I walked over to Baleys for my monthly pizza fix, good as ever!

I took the long way back to my place to check out the strip as I rarely get down there.

Its only Monday night, but the street is teaming with chicas, and looks like the good old days, no cops around.

I saw some fantastic looking chicas, if you like young, clear skinned, long legged girls model type with real pretty faces. By my rating lots of 8 9 and 10's Even I was amazed. There definitely was that old time vibe in the air.

As I walked up Clisante I got called over by a buddy that runs one of the joints, and sat and he bought me a beer. I remarked on the number of good looking chicas milling around, like Party Central, and asked what was going on?

He shook his head and mentioned that time of year. As we talked a couple of 10's walked by and even this jaded guy who hires them for living, got them into conversation.

He wanted me to stick around, for more beer but I had a belly full of Bayley's pizza in my gut and needed to walk it off.

Bottom line. If there' s that much action and choice, on a Monday night at 8 pm, Sosua is happening, and to me it offers as much, if not more than it ever did.

I have no hesitation in telling guys (who like the Dominicana / Haitian type) to "Come on down", you won't be disappointed!

Just a guess. Could this have anything to do with the impending Christmas holidays? They may be trying to earn some money for presents, celebrations, etc.

Their saying Haitian American, but think its clear they mean African American. I think their saying Haitian to use the animosity some doninicans have toward Haitians to serve their purpose.

Their also using the murder to push their agenda. Which seems to be making sosua less multi racial. It probably won't work. But I do think there will be more blow back from the murder.

Sure it would read better at first that way, but it would still be a lie. Nobody was checking tourists' passports and no monger tourists were being thrown in jail for being loud in Rio. It was pretty much the same as Sosua. A bunch of guys gathered on one corner (at Meia Pataca, Terraco Atlantico, Balcony, and now Mab's cafe restaurants or Help Disco) of a big ass neighborhood, in a big ass city, in a big ass country.

Maybe it is just me, but when he throws in the part about a mother of 4 being killed, it reads this chick had 4 kids with probably 4 different dicks and was out hoeing with one of these people that he is trying to portray as monsters. In trying to garner sympathy, it more so reveals the irresponsibility of the 29 year old chick.

Yes, taxis run all night with less frequency with no fixed times. You need to walk from Kviar to the Main Street and wait by the side of the road till one shows up. If there is room in the taxi which I have seen packed like sardines. Kviar is kind of high end Disco. Would the girl do all these to save you dollars? I doubt it. I always rent a car. Even the girl I picked up at Classico wanted to take a moto to Alicia not knowing I have a car. It is hardly 5 minutes walk. It maybe partly they want to help moto guys or plain lazy to walk.

Only good thing picking girl up in PP is it is likely she will stay all night.

Dominicans HATE Haitians and will find any excuse to condemn them. The guy who mudered the girl was Nigerian not Haitian but no need to to let facts get in the way of blaming Haitians. Many of the Haitians I know are very self conscience do to the negative stereo types the have to deal with. The invasion of Haitian Americans of Rio is a serious joke. The Haitian girls can not compete with Rio talent unless they were giving it away. When facts do not fit make up some shit.

I agree with Mr E. I travelled to Rio approx every 4 months from 2003-2006. There were no Haitians working or walking around there. I remember kicking with one of the darkest, blue eyed girl that had a a "made in Brazil" tattoo on the small of her back.

Reports of the demise of Sosua pop up all the time.

But the demise of Sosua is greatly exagerrated. My buddy couldn't even get a longer term rental in Europa! Weren't even interested. A couple years ago they would have taken his cash, and bumped somebody!

Which app is most recommended to pick up chicas easily in the DR?

I may have mislead you.

There is no magic "app". other than the usual social media sites, FB, DC and the rest. I was referring to my smartphone contacts lists in WhatsApp, Messenger, Messages and Email. Chicas here all use one or the other to keep in touch. I suppose the magic is keeping your contact list up to date.

Likewise my statement, "life is cheap here" was just a gut reaction to seing yet another bunch of kids lose their mother before her time.

All the chicas were upset the next day about the news, and while they were passing her photo around, my regular in PP sent me a recent photo of us three together.

No newspapers here, but the word soon gets around!
