We are going through a period of notably low quality of looks at the most easily surveyed BJ Bars in the area; L0litas, Kasalong and Wood Bar. None of the 3-4 above average lookers who could have been seen and taken at some point during the day or night shift have been working in them for a few months now. And EE, the first Super Star at Dr. BJ's Salon (now Wood Bar), left 2-3 years ago and took almost all of her higher standards influence at that bar with her, IMO.

Man EE was always occupied or not present when I went, heard about her, saw pics, was excited, but always not available. I had some great ones though, all of which I believe are gone now.

Whats the best one going now? Or all they all on the level I assume. Last time I was abound doing it, I guess they were all offering about the same quality.

I had a buddy who went to Dr. BJ's almost every day when he visited Bangkok. There was one girl there he absolutely raved about. The one and only time I tried Dr. BJ's was with that girl. I thought the BJ was mediocre and never returned.

Guess everyone has their style. I've had some really really great service there, mixed in with some mediocre ones, that well, you have, its over and you move on. In the older days I'd put its quality in the top tier of BJ bars (especially that they had a large staff to choose from really helped) and that they would often do 2 shots (depending on you and the girl). Now, prob just run of the mill.

By the way I was in Spasso Saturday night. Had some wonderful (overpriced) cocktails, watched Lukaku finally score a goal and watched the goings on. Girl score: 3-4 generous on a scale of 10. Older, fat, roboboobs and generally unattractive. The dudes were no better, old and fat, not like I'm anything to write home about, but at least I don't have some 5000 B milfish heifer hanging on my arm. There was one Indian looking girl who was slim, elegant, exotic and beautiful. From the waist up. Her bottom looked like the back end of a 67 VW Beetle. If you are an ass man she was for you.

I went to Thermae too. Surprisingly uncrowded. 20% doable to my standards. But I was was drink limped by then so just went home.

I was walking by Landmark hotel yesterday around 12 and saw this CIS lady sitting there. Black hair, kind of heavy, big lips probably made up. Had a good time at Nana and was returning back around 2 and she was still there. Anyone know who she is? Thinking of approaching her but already had my share of fun. Also is it ok if I just approach her at the landmark and ask her for a drink and maybe take it from there. I have seen her just sit there many times in the past as well. Soi 7/1 is oddly sometimes just completely deserted except a handful of workers hanging out, and its not many. I've never figured it out, guessing when people go down that street, they know what they are looking for and find it and go in, or leave quickly so no need to have everyone out or whatever. Unlike other areas, places like Wood, Chrome, and Eden's don't have all or even most of their girls hanging outside, so don't be turned off on that. When you go in though, the numbers and quality go up a lot. All that said, its a long way from the Dr. BJ's days of quality and amount of girls in the spots there. Dr. BJ's was truly a special spot in its day.

Decided to walk to 7/1. My first ever fly by of wood and chrome. I wasn't expecting much for looks but thought if one was OK I'd do it because I never had before. I expected old hags. Tbh some were at least in late 20's. They were screaming for my attention. I was the only guy on the entire soi. I didn't see anyone worth trying. Did see a decent petite girl at one of the bars. Noticed most were ladyboy bars but this bar had a decent girl. Likely a mistake but I decided to go see my hostess girl at kc1.

Status now? Full of old women. I bet the average age is at least 40. IMHO, it's a horror show.

Without a doubt, most of the girls there are old and ugly. However, there are some cuties in there once in a while. I actually enjoy Biergarten more than Thermae. I know the girls at Thermae are much better looking, but sitting in Thermae and having a beer sucks. Biergarten is a much more pleasant environment to sit and have a few beers.

Anybody else notice an improvement in the upstairs line up at Crazy House lately? I know it has been reported several times that the line up at Crazy House is not as good as it was 2-3 years ago. I am among those who reported it. But last night I could not say that was the case for at least 4-5 girls last night. And they working upstairs too!

Nope but limited recent attendance, last time probably a few weeks ago, and never was an upstairs person. Never requested to buy drinks on entry but am well known not to be a waste of time, and will always buy drinks inside (even if turns out to be only one), never just leave. Maybe a ploy based on downstairs being full or relevant to having a girl go with you, if she did not look like a hooker.

Standard of the line up is not at all consistent. Can vary a lot, especially as only requires 2 to 3 good girls to make the line up good for me (sometimes there are none of any interest).

I came in smiling, was greeted rather nicely by the mamasan, kept up a positive, happy and approachable demeanor since that is genuinely how I felt last night anyway, yet I can't say my smile or gaze was returned by any "doable" girl (for me) either on stage or walking around. Neither I nor any other customer in the bar was approached by girls alone or in pairs for a Ladydrink request after they came down from the stage after a set. They all donned more regular clothes over their bikinis, shorts and t-shirts, and hightailed it outside to join the "Come Inside!" chorus.

Maybe those last couple of observations is a comment on the girls' interest or rather disinterest in me buying one a drink or barfining them, I have no idea. LOL. Some guys much prefer the "no interference with my drinking" style in a bar, where the girls neither flag you from the stage with a "buy me drink" gesture or approach you personally after their dance set. This time I took it as a reason not to engage with any girl there but might go back and give it another look sometime.

I don't think the name of the bar is at all relevant. Does not have to mean anything. They have to come up with something for the name. Yes few bars have the word "bar" in the name (at least I am guessing that. Never paid massive attention to such a detail). Maybe there are exceptions "Mercury Bar"? "Enter Bar"? (not even sure). Seems redundant though unless name is an adjective or verb needing a Noun. Ha ha. I am happy with you just calling it "Geisha" or Geisha bar, no problem at all.

The girls maybe trained not to hassle the customers. It is not that uncommon in bars for girls to dash outside to join the attempted customer pulling. I think if you want to buy a girl a drink, should be up to you to give her the signal if she looks in your direction, or to even go tell her, or get a staff member to do so. Some girls are very shy about being proactive or pushy. Indeed I hate pushy girls, myself.

So nothing in your report really put me off at all, except potentially the girls might not be pretty enough to hold my interest long. I would still go for a look for sure. Price of lady drinks and customer drinks can be a topic of interest, especially lady drinks, since can vary a lot. However you would not know if never bought one obviously.

Nana Plaza lost a Ladyboy bar and gained a regular (real ladies only?) go-go bar very recently. It is called Geisha, located on the top level of Nana Plaza in the corner down from Butterflies go-go bar, in a spot that used to be a Ladyboy bar. I think the name is "Geisha" only, no "Bar" next to it, but could be wrong. Somewhat U-shaped seating area around a tiered stage. Has a glassed-in bathtub box on the far side of the stage as you walk in. The girls in that glass box wash themselves with sudsy water from the tub and go topless. Seems to have some of the available stage and seating area on the opposite side of the room curtained off for further construction. I don't know for sure since this bar was a Labyboy bar before and I never went inside then.

I went there last night, Saturday night, around 9 PM. When the mamasan saw me walk in she came over, threw her arms around me all smiles and happiness, welcoming me into the place. I never met her before, so that was unexpected. LOL. Maybe she thought I was somebody else she knew already. She told me all the girls are barfineable, all barfines are 800 baht regardless of ST or LT and everything else is up to the girl and you. I pointed to one girl onstage who was wearing a black bikini instead of the general white the other girls were wearing and to another one who appeared to be wearing a double layer top with a black bra under her white bikini top (no pantyhose) and asked why they were wearing those and did that mean they were Coyotes? Mamasan said no difference, same as the other girls. I didn't ask, but I saw no evidence of intermingled Ladyboys, although I don't recall seeing a "Real Ladies Only" sign outside either.

In the two sets of dance sessions I sat for, there were about 12 girls on stage for each set and another half dozen or so walking around or sitting next to or on the laps of customers. Not a particularly wild or party atmosphere. The music was loud but not too loud for me to understand what the mamasan and servers were saying to me. At that hour on this Saturday night the seating area, three levels of cushioned bleacher style booths, was about 20% occupied. Despite the possibly misleading name of the bar (in more ways than one, imo) the customer demographic was no more than half Asian/Japanese(?) and there seemed to be mostly older expat type customers. Same as me, I suppose.

I did not see any girls rating what one would likely consider a Bargirl 8 or above in terms of looks. But if you are fine with the young cute or quirky cute look and demeanor, as I am, you might have found 3-4 on the stage during each set that appealed enough to give her a shot.
