I arrive in Medellin in a few weeks. I have never been there before and wanted to get a few thoughts from everyone. BTW, my Spanish is limited to last minute flash cards for 30 days. Not the best.

- I land in Bogota. I regretted not flying into Medellin, so I made a jumper flight to Medellin about 3. 5 hours after I land in Bogota. Anyone see a problem getting through customs in that time and onto my vivaair flight to Medellin?

- What is the best way to grab a cab to get to the El Poblado area from the airport without getting ripped? What is the average rate in pesos?. Also, if I am stuck on the street waiting to meet someone to get into the apartment I rented, am I going to be a bulls eye target rolling luggage and a bag around on the street in the afternoon? Haha.

- I am staying right around the Carrera 43 A & Calle 10 crossing in a apartment. Is the walk from there to the Parque Lleras area safe at late night / early hours for a solo American?. It seems like such an easy distance, but if I am dressed up, is a cab best?

- Are there any rooms "by the hour" or for $10-20 if I need to make a detour in this area? Seems I may not want to bring everyone back to my apartment for safety. If there are Street girls in the area, I'the assume they have to go somewhere.

I have 11 days in Medellin and then I return to Bogota for 6 days and then head home. I am excited to see what happens.

The ideal situation is to get them over to your place without discussing money and then paying them what you think they are worth after having sex with them. Most won't let it go that far without stating a price. But after you have met them in person you will be much more likely to know what you are willing to pay and she will know what she is willing to accept.

That is not the ideal situation. In fact, that's a recipe for disaster for newbies and those who don't speak Spanish. I'm not saying it's always going to go wrong, but with the wrong chica this can end bad. Lets say that you finish and she's getting ready to leave and you give her 200 k. But she turns around and demands 500 k. Obviously, you refuse to pay it, so she pulls out her cell phone and threatens to call the police, or worse, her "friend". I'm sure that all you tough guys would not pay it and boot her out. But all newbies would pay 500 k or something close to it, if they didn't have the whole 500 on them.

I always recommend setting the terms of the transaction. While many like to believe this is a GFE, it's still a business transaction, so the terms should be agreed upon by both parties. The Romeo's will say that make it transactional and business-like, but this is not dating or romance. I'm not suggesting that you outline every single act that you expect, but price and time should be covered.

Hotel Du Parc Royal is right on Parque Lleras. Its very nice and girl friendly. I've stayed there. I've also used airbnb and stayed in condos in Poblado. You will need to ask if they are guest friendly to confirm before booking. Personally, I like the airbnb route, but the nice hotels are very good option. If I were staying back in that area, I would opt for something very close to Lleras. The area around Pobaldo and lleras is pretty hilly and not as easy to walk like say Laureles neighborhood.

I know the area well as I have been going there for 7 years and formally had a fiance, and know the culture well. I only do Cupid, Malls, etc. And have a great time with the semi pros. I am 60, decent looking, but have no trouble attracted regular girls. They all play the game of wanting a serious relationship, and some are serious. After you have built a relationship on whasapp or I'm tell them you want that to, but in my case the age difference makes it impossible. I wish we could because they are so amazing, but it would not seriously work, and can we have a special friendship. It never fails with the 20-40 crowd, especially if they have kids. I explain I am fun, generous and they will give you the GFE of your life, because you let her keep her dignity after you give her 200 k or whatever to help with the taxi and a nice dinner with wine. I also think Laurles is the better area. For one the streets are not as confusing as in Poblado, it is all flat. Metro stops close by, La 70 for food and drink. Lots of "private casa" off of Milerotics or Photoprepagos. Energy massage and Tantra Massage both clean and easy to use 150 mil for an hour. Lots of Airbnb cheaper than Poblado. There are some chica friendly hotels and the love motels for less than 50 mil you get a very nice room with jacuzzi and even a bed with motion. I have stayed in Laurles for 4 months in the last 12, so I know some of the area pretty well. I like to walk around.

I would go with Laureles area on my 1st trip. There is plenty of action around. I much prefer it to Poblado. As far as hotels I don't use them, I prefer Airbnb. Also there are several love motels in laureles that are great to use and cheap. I prefer to bring girls there instead of my apartment.
