I'll be visiting Pattaya next week, hoping to meet a few girls. Any advice on where to stay for (hoping for the lower end $30-40/ night if possible)?

I went back a few pages on this forum and from what I could tell, being close to Soi 6 is a good bet.

A couple of questions:

- Are most hotels girl friendly in the area?

- When booking the room, do I select Single or for two adults? (Hoping to have LT a night or two).

Most of the hotels are girl friendly but there are exceptions. Best to check Google. There are numerous sites listing the status of the hotels. I stayed in Pattaya Blue Sky, Best Beach Villa in Soi5 in the past and both of them are guest friendly.

And yes, book the room for double occupancy just to be sure.

I can mention that the area around Rompho market is not what it used to anymore. A guy told me why and I don't remember exactly but something is planned for the Rompho marker area, like some kind of construction

I also heard some rumors about Rompho market, someone said there will be a new shopping mall, someone said a new hospital. What will be the truth?

There are quite a few beer bars around Rompho Market in Jomtien, also there is one small go-go bar near the corner of Jomtien Beach Rd. And Thappraya Rd. You will also find several beer bars and the Kit-Kat gentlemen club in this area for afternoon action. But Walking Street is also only 10 minutes away by taxi or baht bus. Jomtien has a more relaxed vibe with better beaches, than Pattaya. You will also find some very good restaurants in the area, like Bruno's, Nathan's or seafood places at the beginning of Jomtien Beach Rd. Check Tripadvisor.
