Has anyone ever had a LT freelancer ask for money up front? I most certainly have not. The STers will do it when they plan to make the ST even shorter. You should have asked her if they paid her at the factory before she did the work. Same with buying drinks. I tell them they have to work up a thirst before I buy them a drink.

I wrote a report about this in the Bangkok thread recently. The Thai girl I met at the bar became less and less receptive and warm to me in my apartment, which was in inverse proportion as she had been with me in the bar, something we have all experienced. Anyway, I am pretty certain her friend was instructing her to ask for the prepayment.

It was supposed to be a two hour session. After the first session, she jumped out of bed and went to the living room and got on her phone again. No after coitus cuddling with this one. Makes her think twice before trying on the "pay me in advance" trick with the next customer.

Generally, a girl doing a 180 degree turn in attitude is possible but rare, and one or two signs of bad attitude highly correlate with substandard service. I'm not throwing my money at that, not in Pattaya at least. To be honest, I usually look for two minor signs of bad attitude before calling it off, just in case there's a misunderstanding with the first one.

I don't buy the argument that getting paid upfront automatically means substandard service.

Lots of P4P around the world use this method of payment.

The reason is to avoid the possibility of the customer finding some excuse whether real or otherwise not to pay any or all of the agreed fee.

I get it there are less than honest providers out there but not all of them are, most I believe are just ensuring they get paid.

In Thailand it is the norm at soapies and more and more common at oilies.

With FL'S and other face to face transactions as Natty indicated if you agree what services will be provided and you can reassure the girl that there will be no problem with payment later and she feels confident with this then most likely she will accept payment afterwards.

Lesson learned Sandman. Never pay an SW, FL, or Bar Girl in advance. Period. It's too late now, but if you had held your ground and said something like, "look Mae, I am a gentleman, but I don't pay in advance. It is no problem for me and I want you to be happy." 555. Chances are good that she would have changed her tune and delivered decent service. This has happened to me on more than one occasion with a recalcitrant FL ie having a good session with the girl after the payment issue was settled my way and I have never had a girl take the taxi money and leave.

It's water under the bridge now, so get yourself over to Windmill right away and have a naughty good time. In a week or so you will forget everything about Mae except the lesson learned to never pay in advance. That lesson will stick with you for the rest of your mongering days.

Those feelings are not the Pattaya Blues. They are just normal goodbye blues. The Pattaya Blues are when you have depression-like feelings during the middle part of a Pattaya vacation. I thought it was not possible anymore to buy a SIM card in shops like Family Mart and 7-eleven. Did you have to register it with your passport? If not then it was probably illegal which could also explain why it didn't work.

We tried 7/11 but they did not have SIM. Family Mart did. I did not register as such, but they took a photo of my passport on their mobile phone. Whether the shop follows that up with formal registration, I do not know.
