I agree with the characterization of Tropical being more of a dance hall then strip club. If you want to meet a beautiful girl and dance, all the girls at BT will go out on the floor with you. Usually you tip them $1 per song or more if you're enjoying her company. They also will do short stints of live singing. The mesero will grab a mic and start singing songs, again tip him if you're enjoying the music. When my wignman walks in they will often play a German beer drinking song. On numerous occasions I've seen day shift Adelitas girls come over to Tropical just to order a bucket of beers and chill.

I used to love to just hang out there because it had a great vibe but I don't really go to Zona to kill time anymore and my wingman isn't dating a girl that works there (she now works at a manufacturing job so she's a civie now).

Remember guys, these ladies aren't working there because they graduated with a degree in physics. Much to the contrary. Most of these girls come from deep Mexico and their math skills also suck. Key is to negotiate in $MXN. Can't tell you how many times I've offered one "mil pesos" and watched her eyes light up - thats a lot of money where she comes from! What's the going rate for arriba in TB? I was there about a week ago and the chicas are average looking at best and they all quoted me $80 for arriba.

I'm curious about how you asked them, did you walk straight up to each and ask how much?, or were you seated and talking to the chica over a drink?

Also, you didn't mention if you countered with a lower price. If you're in a conversation most chicas expect a little back & forth, so it's fine to tell them the price you're offering.

One way to look at it to feel comfortable is to group clubs like HK, Adelitas and Chicago together. These are go-go bars, aka strip clubs. Their main floors are elevated stripper's floor. These clubs were made for strippers.

On the other spectrum, you have Tropicals, Valentinas and Chubelas. These are dance clubs with a huge dance floor as the centerpiece. These clubs were made for dancing. The sex is there. But it is kind of secondary. You will often find strippers from other clubs having a drink with friends after their shift is up. The patrons are also different. One time, a HK chica was sent down to Tropicals for misbehavior. While wearing her see-through net bikini, she stood out like a sore thumb and got zero business. Later that evening, she changed into a cocktail dress and a dude immediately bought her a drink. Here even when a shift ends, some chicas stay the evening and drink with friends. So if you keep this in mind, your can adjust your expectations and get more comfortable.

Awkward is a good word. I'm not sure what it is but my very few visits in TB all had a strange vibe. I like that it is brighter but I definitely felt like the newbie, like I didn't belong in the frequent flyers club.

Yeah, you are right. I've had really weird experiences in this bar. I was there again on Sunday night and will post about another girl I met which was also awkward.

Really? When I saw her, she didn't have a phone on her. She was sharing with this other girl. My friend spoke to her a bit and she had a quite a few restrictions but CBJ was on the table, just not very much touching.

With all due respect, is it worth pursuing? Only you know the whole interaction and I'm reacting to only what you posted. But if a girl doesn't give you her number and blocks you on social media, I'm thinking she's just not into you. You can go down there and probably have an arriba. So she gave me her Instagram so that I can reach her next time I wanted to see her. I didn't take her up that night because I had already had a session earlier but I wanted to get in touch with her again next time I am down there. She showed me her instagram and I added it and messaged her but then the ***** blocked me without even ever adding me back.

I have a similar question. Do Chicas get paid for their time sitting around in bar or are they only paid for fichas and sex.

Lot of Chicas are just sitting around most of the time.

There are a handful of exceptions but for the most part HK chicas are not paid any type of salary. They are not employees of HK. They are independent contractors. Anybody who posts any differently is just utterly clueless. Again, HK does not pay any type of sueldo to the chicas. Tb I'm not sure so I can't say anything. Cc chicas get $500/ day. Ab chicas get $300/ day, $500 if they stage dance. HK chicas get nothing. In HK chicas get commission from fichas and privados, various tips and arriba money. HK management absolutely does not pay any type of wage to chicas. This is a fact that I'm 100% sure of.

I assume the TB girls are the same as HK girls, being owned by the same company. The HK girls are employees of the bar, and they are paid a very small salary. It's not enough to live on, but it's a "real" job and qualifies them for their "Social Security. " I have seen the payroll "sheets" before, when helping a girl with her child support application.

While Tropical bar has gained the reputation as the FOB (fresh off the bus) starting point. It does boil down to looks as far as where they end up working. I will never forget the girl I met in Tropical. She was so bitter they would not let her work in HK telling her she was a couple kilos to thick for HK. And if she didn't work on some weight loss to acomplish her goal of HK and instead put more weight on, who knows she could end up in Chavelas.

Tropical can be used as a break on Fri. And sat nights when the traffic is heavy at HK. The meseros will pull back if you tell them you are there for a beer and a show.

After some dances, girls will walk around the tables looking for tips and a dollar can also get a grope or whatever.

It can be a welcome break cause sometimes other bars get too jammed.

If the 2 for 1 deal is on then the mesero will hold onto the second beer and bring it to you cold when needed.

The girls are less aggressive and on their phones a lot. You usually have to catch their eye. Less eye candy but the girls will party with you more.

I have witnessed some pretty drunk scenes, but still having fun.

I know both owned by same but do the HK girls start out at Tropical?
