If you are in Medellin on a short trip the best deal is to go to New Life; there you have all the variety you need. If you are here on the long haul as I am now then apart from using the list you collect the cards from the guys in the street in Centro and check out those casas. The facilities are not that great -Cold water, small rooms, hard mattresses, tiny towels but chicas unpolluted by gringos viz sweet, service oriented and not money hungry. Not all are lookers though. I am quite willing to sacrifice looks for service in those casas. I have also discovered other casas by chatting in my broken Spanish with the girls in those casas.

I asked how much she makes and she told me that she gets 4,000 pesos for manicure and 6,000 pesos for pedicure. My bill was 42,000, so she only got 10,000 of that. Then I asked who she lived with. She said her husband and kids. I told her if she don't scream, then I won't holler! So I guess that I will see her soon.

I think it's pretty obvious that if you're trying your hand at non-pros (I. E. dating with a better bargaining power than in your home country) then the only real avenue available to you is your flat. That's because you couldn't meet them in a casa to begin with. In that case you don't really have a choice but bringing them back to yours.

Another aspect to keep in mind is that most mongers don't really go to casas with much on them. I personally only bring a copy of my passport, enough cash to last me for the day (less than USD 100) and some crappy flip phone. No watch, no "nice" clothes, no fancy sunglasses. Basically stuff I wouldn't miss if the worst were to happen. Needless to say, I've never had any trouble. Maybe that's because I looked so relaxed and chill.

The only way I could consider bringing them back to mine would be if I was staying at the mansion where there are so many layers of security that you don't really have to worry about leaving your stuff in the open or going for a shower.

If you didn't clarify it with her first, then it's your mistake. If a girl at Gusto tells you "tres cientos", the proper response is "pesos?

Yes, I know only because I read other member's telling their experience. There are people that don't know Spanish very well. I will be too excited to understand the number girl are telling me, and I would never respond with "peso" if I have not read about other member's experience before.

Common sense says that you clear up any confusion before there's a problem. You clearly already know that it's possible the girl means dollars and not pesos. Why would you take her to the elevator, without making sure you're both talking the same currency?

OK, this is where we read PN's post differently. I think he said "negotiated" so he is expecting girl to deliver agreed services. Usually if you can show or tell girl that she agreed, they will do it but they may do it badly. In the case of bad service, I will pay but in the case of non service, I will not pay unless her cousins are already in the room, ha ha, this acutely happened to me once in US. PN does not spell out detail but I think he said paying girl 20 K to get rid of her in one post so I don't think he said not paying completely. 20 K to Centro girl is a reasonable amount, relatively speaking. And how much you pay to get rid of girl is situation dependent.

It is not that I am brave or anything like that. It is because I have been scammed too many times so I learned to stand up for myself. Without getting into detail, I will just use a KTV example. The first time I was scammed, it was like sex sitting on a bench, girl with clothes on sitting on you in reverse cow girl until you finish. They also wanted to charge me for the room after I paid. I had no money left so I got room free. The next time, I demanded to see the girl naked, free room before I paid and was promised no reverse cow girl. When in the room, the girl offered a second girl for $15 more just to extract money from me. Then next time, I asked girl get naked, and kissed before I handed over the money.

Most recently last month, I was lured in because they have a bait that is a 9+, but after sitting with me for a short while, they wanted to give me a girl I didn't want. I learned from my experience so they had not got my money yet. It was entertaining to see they try to offer different girls, like cousins, room mates, in order to get my money. It was Chinese New Year eve so none of the girls were available. I had agreed to pay about 70 USD for full services with many conditions attached. They promised it would be free if I was not happy. In the end, I had a big verbal fight with them, and I offered and paid 35 USD to cover the girls I don't want come sitting with me, drinks, room, snack, to leave. I should not even have to pay the 35 USD. These are places controlled by organized crime so you need to know how to carry yourself and fluent in local language to deal with any confrontation.

What I am saying is, go to Bangkok and pick up random street girls, it is very likely you will pick up a ladyboy, the first time you maybe nice about it and give a tip for her to leave, but by the fifth time, what will be your reaction, still give her the same tip amount or no tip at all?

Just a side note, many Chinese villages are named by last name. The gangs are named by last names. It often was two last names fighting when I saw two gangs fighting in my youth. If I walked on street and stared the wrong people unintentionally, I would got beaten right there. A friend who was 185 cm, very tall by Chinese standard, once told me that people were scared of him because of his height and look but he said to me what others did not know was that he was also scared but he learned not to show it.
