I don't recall even a single report talking about taking a girl upstairs at New Sari Ayu. For some reason, they talk about the dirty places next door to it. I will say though that I think that was a VIP room there at NSA, I don't think I have seen the standard rooms.

Not as big as Classic would mean really tiny, given Classic is no more than 200 - 240 sqft, including shower area? Any smaller and I could touch opposite walls with outstretched arms. But for a chick like that, well. I should get my ass around sometime.

That's an old picture, and that girl is now at Hotel Classic. I think she was only at New Sari Ayu a few months. She was at Malioboro previous to New Sari Ayu. They are always moving from venue to venue so you never know where you will find talent. I normally walk in a place and if I don't see anything I like, I move on. Some months they have great girls at any given place, other months they have duds.

Let me see if I can find a photo of a place like LA or MTR in kota indah. those rooms are absurdly small.

You can actually stay inside Hotel Classic for about 10 to 15 dollars more a night. If 10 to 15 dollars is too much, you can stay at Red Planet Hotel, FaveHotel, Pop Hotel, or Heef hotel. All of those are the same price as Hotel 55 and are right next door to Hotel Classic. I'm not saying those hotels are anything great, because they are cheap as hell, but all of those hotels have a higher rating on agoda than Hotel 55.

I didn't check any reviews. I just saw some pics, and it had a bed, bathroom, and AC, and that was all I needed. If you want a review, I had peaceful nights in a comfortable bed. I loved the location, so that's what I went with. The staff was also very accommodating. I mentioned to reception that I needed a taxi at 3 am to catch a flight out, and when I came down the stairs, the reception pointed to the Blue Bird taxi that was already waiting for me. They were very friendly, letting me also store my pack there when I arrived much earlier than check-in. All in all, no complaints. If Classic is more up your alley, go for it. To each his own.

IQ, you've said the KI girls were nice eye candy but would you confirm if you were happy with their performance and enthusiasm. To put it plainly, were they pretty starfishes or the full package?

I was very happy with the performance. I had all girls in multiple positions, one really knew how to ride. One was even over enthusiastic with me, kept smiling and constantly had roaming hands. This is just my personal experience. I'm a younger guy that lifts regularly, and they really liked my body, so I don't know if that played a role. If I had to put on a scale from 1-10 their performance and enthusiasm (at least the girls I was with), I'd say 7 or 8.

Add that to the fact that you'll probably be the only white face walking around. People will be very friendly, and you'll have that exotic factor with the girls, much better than those expat clubs. You'll have to speak at least basic Indonesian, though.

I know Classic was mentioned, but it's not in walking distance, AND you have tons of options in KI with multiple bars. These were petite, busty girls that loved a white face, with a hotel basically across the street. For quality, price, and location, you can't beat this combo. That's my advice and experience, take it as you will.

Now that they don't have the vip rooms anymore, I find kota indah to be very poor value for money considering the rooms are so shitty. Hotel Classic is the same price with the same type of girls (if not nicer) and the rooms are FAR nicer.

Not to mention that Classic is likely to have nearly thrice the number of girls in one single premises (albeit on different floors). All of them neat, clean, airconditioned and well ventilated. I like to enjoy a smoke when I drink, but the bars at Kota Indah can give me a headache with the kretek fumes hanging overhead forever.

The mamis at Classic can be a bit annoying, and you have to firmly tell them that you want to relax, sip a beer and scout the talent before making any choices. Even if they know you by face, they will not let up.

It's a room with a bed, and even AC. What more do you need with a naked, gorgeous girl? I do remember seeing Hotel Classic in my searching, but Hotel 55 is right there. I mean, it's practically on top of Kota Indah. You really just can't beat the location.

I just returned from Jakarta a couple weeks ago. I had a few days there before heading off to Sumatra. This is my experience. First, a disclaimer: this report is for the regular travelers that like to save a buck. If you're an old, rich, whitey expat, or a businessman that likes to put his mongering on the companies tab, you'll probably want to blow your money on the bigger clubs.

I stayed in the north in Mangga Dua, about a forty minute taxi ride from the airport. My hotel was Hotel 55. For only $30 a night, it has everything you need. This was a fantastic location. It's less than a five minute walk to Kota Indah, literally. Plus, I didn't see another white face my entire time. That means the locals will love you. I hung out on the street talking to everybody. People would just come up and start a conversation. They'll want to eat some street food with you, and are all very friendly, you'll feel like a celebrity, I certainly did.

Each night, I walked the very short distance to Kota Indah, and went twice to Starmoon, and once to the bar right across the street from it. Beers are a couple bucks each, if you want to drink, but you don't have to. The waitress will immediately ask you if you want a girl. Just tell her what you're looking for, and she'll bring the girl right out to you. All three of my girls were very high quality. Their ages were: 18, 19 and 21. All were short and had tiny frames (90-95 lbs) with no less than a the-cup chest (one a double the and all natural). The cost is 350 K are, and I tipped 100 K are. For the hour.

There was no asking if they did anything questionable, they did it all, starting off with a BBBJ, and CIM was not an issue. They let me take photos as well. It's very straightforward, cheap, with great quality girls. The girl, room, and tip will only set you back about $30. And, when you're done, go grab some street food, and sleep peacefully in your hotel.

Smoothy, your reports / advice, and Offshore Swell, your pictures, definitely stoked my interest in Jakarta in recent months. As a result, I'm headed to the city in April (I've written a blurb in the Travel Announcements Only forum of the Indonesia section of ISG) and am looking forward to the experience.

Its often a negative side effect of cold water mandis. Not enough temp or water volume to wash away the built up eau de Jakarta.

LOL. Cool. One thing you mentioned was Burgundy bar. I didn't know that was still open. 20 years ago, the bar in the Hyatt was not bad at all for picking up girls, but as far as I know it's not a valid option anymore. Are there actually girls in Burgundy now?

I haven't been back to Jakarta for around 3 years now but it was still open up until very recently and probably still is. I used to pick up girls there, some quite good looing up until about 4 years ago. I then started seeing one of the hostesses there, when I stayed at other hotels (long story) so I could no longer pick up there. The girl I was seeing left there around 4 months ago but it was still open then.
