I read an article where the military patrolling there in NL was cutback so the bad guys are taking control of the city. Holding checkpoints and robbing tourists. This may explain that night I left BT to find a checkpoint at the first stoplight right out of the compound. I have never seen anything like that in years.

I have seen many news videos of Hondurans robbing and killing in Mexico and especially in Piedras Negras. This is a new era of bad guys and hopefully the Mexican government will start to Crack down because so far I have only seen ordinary Mexican citizens having to defend their fellow citizens.

Thank you Bbond, I think that by having the option to call an Escort from the massage services and staying at the fiesta hotel really makes a trip to Nuevo Laredo attractive. I have greatly been recovering from my esophagitis so I have many more options to eat a wider variety of foods. Since I started traveling to Monterrey, my trips have been more about the pay for play market than about meeting girls off tinder or enjoying the culture. Sure, making good friends off a social networks and enjoying the culture is also a big plus but not something I can justify my trips if it wasn't for the availability of working girls. I may go to Laredo this weekend to meet up with a girlfriend from Monterrey but she is going there to shop and visit some relatives in Laredo so I may not go. But I can see myself making trips to Nuevo Laredo when the cold weather warms up. Staying in San Antonio on weekends can be very lonely for me. The highlight of my weekends are going to the gym or possibly catching a good movie or dinner with a friend but that friend is not nearly as attractive as your average Mexican pretty girl.

Hey, did you by any chance notice that this forum was not accessible for about a day or so? I was going to go to Nuevo Laredo this weekend but realized that I would be spending close to 150 dollars on the trip for the basics (gas money, hotel, dinner, movie).I texted an Escort from Nuevo Laredo a couple of days ago but they charge about 100 dollars and those are American rates. So at this time it doesn't make sense.

Wow, that's the same bridge where buses cross. The last time I crossed that bridge on a bus (almost 2 weeks ago), we were checked 3 times for our credentials and they specifically said that they want to identify any central american who may be on that bus so they do not cross over into the USA. I wish that AMLO (our new Mexican president) would do something similar like trump is doing in USA and strengthen the southern border. I saw a video from Honduras that they are now saying that many more caravans are going to be coming up and now they are going to be much bigger since they have learned that they would need bigger caravans in order to keep the Mexicans from controlling them like what was done in Piedras Negras where they were put into a warehouse and not let out unless they needed to go to the store and even then they were ushered by police force. Now I see videos where Hondurans are killing and robbing Mexicans and Mexican companies. I wish the Mexican president would do something about these Hondurans. Honestly, the Mexicans in the United States remind me of the Hondurans in Mexico. Since I am a dual citizen of Mexico and the USA, I visit the Mexican consulate to take care of paperwork. Today I went to get my voter credentials (a card that I can use as a passport in Mexico). Well even some guys that work at the Mexican consulate are extreme assholes to any man that is or even looks like a United States citizen. I believe that my own culture needs to be punished for all the harm that they have caused to hard working, tax paying citizens of the United States that were born in Mexico like me. Then again, I am very jaded. The thinking behind the new administration is that we do not want losers in the USA. In my opinion, going back to a democratic president is not going to get rid of all the crime and losers coming from the Mexican border. I would rather live in a racist country that the USA has become than to deal with all the losers that come up through that border. The way I see it, one side (USA gringos) are racist and the other side (immigrants) are assholes because they are uneducated and don't like to pay taxes to become citizens. This, I tell my girlfriends from Monterrey. They pretty much know that most of the people who migrate from Mexico into the USA are losers. I will say that Mexico is a great country with many hard working educated people who have their shit together and treat me very well. It's like night and day how well I am treated in Mexico by my own race but here in the US my own race treats me like shit.

Thanks guys for reading them and Bbond for looking out for us in Nuevo laredo. The truth is that for the amount of money that I would spend in Nuevo laredo I could bang a couple of escorts here in San Antonio. I look forward to going to Monterrey around end of April and will start saving now as I plan on enjoying a whole week there and I don't want to be a cheap skate anymore. I realize that giving the girls money for extras can go a long way for a memorable experience. I love the spas and have many to try out and many to keep going to. Monterrey has huge potential but is probably getting more dangerous than before with all the central Americans arriving into Mexico. Mexico used to be more of a tourist destination and still is as I see gringos and other foreigners there. Many foreigners work in Monterrey and I wish I did too. But the US tells us to be careful, to avoid those areas, etc. I can say that it is not what it once was. There used to be much better quality in looks and in service. The game has changed allot.

ROTFLMAO. I can remember one time a few years ago when I was walking back from Mexico to the US, and Bridge 1 had its old configuration with several pedestrian lines at the checkpoint outside right next to the automobile lines. Well that time, the dogs ferreted out some guy who must have been transporting drugs, and he jumped out of his car and took off.

What did the USA's finest CBP agents do then, and there were at least 10-15 of them hanging around (speaking some sort of Spanish among themselves of course)? Well, they all just stood there looking at each other. Are you going to chase him? Are you going to chase him? Nobody wanted to chase this guy, hell they might trip and fall and hurt themselves, and the last I saw of it was him disappearing into the streets of Laredo.
