Realized on this trip that I am less of a value buyer and willing to pay more if it comes with nicer / more upscale ambiance and can bank on there being some girls who are worth the prices these places charge. For instance, have been to the Palms this trip and it was satisfying in terms of options, but unfortunately service was not exceptional. Price is higher than options like Tangara or Miruna but not as high as Scandallo even though girls are similar. No lineup but you get an iPad with girls that you can choose. If there are a few people in the waiting room at the same time, be quick as sometimes they get picked while you are scrolling though options which kind of sucks. Kind of like going to Scandallo. They are too preoccupied with looks vs being safadinhas. (Speaking of Scandallo, the women are all over the place in terms of looks and personalities, but overall I think it is fun if you are being invited by someone else where you are not concerned with price. If you are paying on your own then the act of negotiating with the girls is a total mood killer because they are either desperate to get you upstairs which means they probably will be trying to rush everything once there or are asking 800 (and then eventually I was quoted 500-600 but didn't like the idea I was getting a "discount") which will make the night 900-1000 (if paying girl 500/600) after room fee and entrance fee and drinks.

But when I went to Abobora. The place was kind of a dump and the girl was just OK but service was intense.

So where is the middle ground / sweet spot during the day? Casarao can fit the bill at night when it is popping but not a guarantee.

NB. Asked about Guarulhos options the other week and never heard back. I looked and didn't find anything worth trying to report on.

I went to Yankin. It is located right off the Ana Rosa metro stop. It is actually faster and cheaper to get to Yankin from a Paulista hotel then to get to the places in Bela Vista and Jardins that I have mentioned in earlier reports.

There was a lineup of around ten garotas. No one stood out for me but the lineup was as good as the one at Sauna House. Here the prices are 120 reals for 30 minutes and I believe 170 reals for an hour. In the room we went straight to sex which is something I do not really enjoy. Can you clarify how you wound up with Paty instead of Mel. I. E Did you see Mel live? Did you book with Mel and change your mind when you got there? Was there a lineup or was it pre book?

I went late afternoon on a weekday. When I was at Sauna House ten years ago the lineup was better but I remember going later in the evening between 8 and 11 PM. As for places that do "good massage followed by FS" I do not really go to those places. Big Boss Man said that he gets massage in Kamna (Moaci 885) in Moema. As for live music, you can find listing for music in various sites. Moema has some clubs known for blues and rock more than jazz. Bourbon Street is one such place.

Jazz is not really that popular in Brazil so if you are a real jazz aficionado you may not find any up to your standard. If you are visiting Brazil you might be better off sampling Brazilian music. Mpb or perhaps "Choro" . I personally don't know much about Choro but it has the rep of being more jazz like, instrumental and uniquely Brazilian. That would be my recommendation for a jazz buff in Brazil.
