I went to checkout the Spring on maoming Road this weekend and apparently the oil massage is "taking a break". Tried another one of my regular places in Jingan with same result. I guess things are shutdown for a little while at the moment.

I'm not surprised, a semi legit place in Jing'an(some big expensive spa place with 28 rooms which can also perform less legit "projects") was controlled or raided last week at like 2 pm on a week day when I was having a veggie massage.

Suddenly a light came on. While the girl told me it was just the reception playing I told her normal places don't have lights in the room controled by the reception unless its to warn the police is coming. She laughed and asked me how I knew that.

Anyway, even when the massage was finished they wouldn't let me leave right away, they made me wait a few minutes. Probably not wanting me to cross the path of the police at the reception area.

Your calculation is correct, but if you read below, you'll see 1000ST is closer to normal. Girls from pickup bars are not cheap. You will likely not be able to book at ST hotel, because hotels need to register their guests with the police, and foreigners are extra effort. You'll likely find that ST hotels will claim they are not legally allowed to register foreigners (even if this is not true, they don't want the hassle given the high turn over of customers). You would need to find a Chinese girl or friend to book it for you. In your situation, going to a spa is probably your best bet. Spring Massage is a chain (which you can read about more on this forum) and almost all of the shops will have a 390 RMB oil massage option, and the girl will upsell, quite often to include FS. Expect another 500 RMB for that, but you can try negotiating if you know mandarin. Spring are all over Shanghai, but if you stay central in Puxi, then you'll be closest to a large number of them.

Finally, there are a lot of crackdowns recently, and girls are being a lot more cautious. If you are arriving soon, you may find you strike out. Shanghai (and China overall) is nothing like it used to be 5 years ago.

Yeah, thanks for the straight facts. In BKK I will be using ST hotels after pulling from Go Go Bars / Beer Bars. If that's not an option in Shanghai then it will be a non mongering visit. I usually do overnight with KTV girls in Shanghai (I know managers, just go and pick, no drinks, no KTV room charges). The overnight roughly from 9:00 pm to 9:00 am, cost 2500 yuan (about $360). I don't like J & M because (1), start too late at midnight, (2), KTV girls usually younger (around 20), (3), prefer Chinese than Viet, (4), if I find girl is clean using the similar techniques discussed below (pussy fluid test, and other methods, etc), many times, I can do bb fxxk without extra.

You got the conversion correct. Over $200 for short term from Judy's or Manhattan. The last few years the gov't has been clamping down and many of the spas have closed, and prices gone up.

J & M are both on Tongren Lu, between Nanjing Rd West and Yuyuan East Rd. Nearest hotel is the Portman. There are reasonably priced short term hotels, one chain is called 163.

Great info and will see what I can do about planting myself somewhere near the action. I don't have high hopes but I would like to give myself the option of going for it. My trip includes 10 days in Thailand (before Shanghai) so I will not be in "horn dog mode" when I get there but still these China Dolls will be on my mind. I goggle earthed Judys and got 3 Judys not far from each other. I assume Judy's Lounge is what the guys here are talking about. I also used a conversion site to see what the pussy cost in dollars and from what the site says, the Chinese Yuan is 6. 7 to the dollar which means 1500 yuan = $223 for ST! If that's the going rate I will pass on that killer see pussy. I probably have that equation wrong so any help is appreciated. Also, I will need ST hotels to operate because my wife will be in the room sleeping. Thanks for any insights.

My normal haunts are the PI, Thailand, Colombia, El Salvador and Tijuana. I can return intel on those locales if anyone needs help.

I've been frequenting these qq / wechat girls for a number of years and it's been great fun from a perspective of variety and value! Weird, this sounds more like the old price from a year ago. Rencently most Spring Massage are asking for 336 or 396 for Massage + HJ included.
