Honest to god truth? Out of 7 trips, caught something on 6. Trips always 7-8 days long. As a madman my first few times that was probably 15 chicks. I have calmed down these days and do about 5-6 to reduce the risk. But it didn't help.

When I am in particularly unsafe provinces/areas i always bring wet wipes with me that are alcohol based and wipe your junk before and after immediately. Some brothels in other rougher areas that ive been in Myanmar especially there is no bathroom to speak of just a water Cistern, and of course even in areas such as that i didnt contract anything due to good hygiene. Of course a shower works best, all mongers should really shower after sex i thought this was a given but i guess its not.

Once from a girl in Phnom Penh in 2004. Once from a BG in AC in 2009.

Interesting the same infection was in 2009 much more difficult to treat than in 2004. In 2004 just some pills of doxycycline and cephalexine for 5 days did the trick.

For the same bug in 2009 it needed 3 shots of 1 g Ceftriaxone each. Terrible!

Only one time, in 2014. And that was the only time in 10+ years of mongering in the Phils.
But I don't know if I got it from a BG or a freelancer because I was still doing both back in 2014. These days I stick to freelancers.

Seriously 6 out of 7? Do you know how unstatistically abnormal that is? Have you ever been hit by lightning? Are you diabetic or anything that would make you more susceptible to disease / infection. In a rough ball park of 1000 without, I do boot up a lot too, never caught anything. That's in many countries combined not just Philippines which I feel is a little safer than some countries.

Yeah, Shakey's is still big in Asia, and especially in The Philippines. The first time that I can recall ever going out for pizza was at a Shakey's! So, I had to go when I was in The PI and saw one, and I didn't get sick. But, I didn't have scallops either (which I love). I'm real careful about eating seafood overseas (although I did get deathly ill after eating crab one time in the States). I got sick as a dog after eating seafood sushi in Rio, and after that said I would just stay away from seafood when traveling on vacation overseas. A lot of guys who partake in this hobby do take antibiotics and flood their systems as a preventive measure but have no idea about the side effects that they will be left with, nor do they really understand the severity of the side effects.

EDIT: on second though you make a good point, on the surface your argument sounds like it is for " the good of the people" as in the world that was my misunderstanding, if these guys religiously take these antibiotics and contract an antibiotic resistant strain, that IS a huge problem for us. They are weeding out and cultivating particularly resistant strains of these diseases by using this as a preventative.

Never mind blindness and ruptured tendons. Have none of you armchair doctors and part time pill poppers never heard of antibiotic resistance? A whole shitload of doctors are extremely worried about it and your behaviour is doing nothing to help matters. Antibiotics are meant to be curative, not preventative. Yes there are exceptions, but going on a fuck trip is not supposed to be one of them!
