With regards to the clubs (HK, Adelita's, etc.), I think most of the chemistry stuff should be worked out beforehand so you kind of have an idea of what you are getting yourself into. A good chica with chemistry, paying before or after hasn't been a miss for me. On the street, you want somewhat good service, but it's really hit or miss so I really don't have an answer for you. If you are more of a frequent visitor I am pretty sure that certain customs get relaxed, just like if you were a frequent customer at a restaurant.

HK sessions are 30 minutes.

TLN (toda la noche) prices are all over the map. You'll generally have a hard time negotiating that until you develop some sort of "relationship" with the girl. It's very difficult (read very expensive for you) for them to leave mid-shift, so you'd have to wait until her shift ends, which is very late if she's on the night shift. They usually need to leave early, so a TLN would really only be a few hours. Also, she doesn't know you from Adam, she may have family commitments, etc. , etc. , In any case, prices posted range from free, to $300+. It's an extremely YMMV situation. IMHO a terrible bargain.

You're better off seeing a girl on her day off. Again, this requires a few visits and a bit of chemistry.

How do you avoid paying up front? Do you mention that during the negotiation? About half the girls I was with they wanted me to pay them up front, and they revealed this when we were up in the room, so I just did. I found that with all of these girls they cut the session short by like 5-10 minutes each time. For example a HK girl only fucked me for like 25 minutes and told me the $80 price is for a half hour. Another girl I paid $40 upfront for 45 minutes. She ended it at like 35 minutes. Always trying to cut it short by some number of minutes.

Not speaking Spanish is a huge handicap. Even a little goes a very long way. Start practicing.

(for the non-Spanish speakers it means if you pay in advance the service provider will not do a good job). When the girl insists on payment up front, simply gently wave your index finger back a forth a couple of times, while smiling and saying "El mariachi pagado... " just like that. You'll only need the three words. She'll get the drift immediately. If she insists, bail. Be polite, but firm, and walk or escort her to the door.

The island of Curacao is good for the week of vacation. I am there every year. Water in the sea is always warm. Latin girls from Colombia are very similar to Mexican girls. The place is called "Campo" near the airport open 24/7. There is also a restaurant and bar. Best vacation. I do not know St Maarten Island, I have never been there.
