I bumped into two black women, rather on the rotund side in terms of size, at Playero at the closing hour one evening. They were dressed scantily drawing attention to themselves, also with their long false eyelashes etc. They had a Haitian looking man with them who spoke some English and had picked a bottle of Hennessy cognac, which I later found to be rather pricey. In any case, these women, and I stood behind them on the check out line, was asking the man, if there was a "food stamp" card that was available in the DR. One of these women then went on to pay and used her card but it would not work. After a lot of attempts, when it still did not go through, I had enough and changed line and told her that her "food stamp" would not work, all the more so, if she was buying alcohol. Anywhere. I wonder if these two were part of that fistful of exotica trying their luck off shore. Certainly not worth worth more than 25 bucks, but if you are in love with an English speaking foreigner in Sosua, that might be your cuppa tea.

Who said she was from sosua? If you have to ask about a 9 in the DR. I have to question if you ever been. Brazil / Columbia been there plenty of times. DR has girls on there level just not the quantity. You are talking about an island and comparing it to the size of brasil and columbia. There is no comparison. They have the quantity and quality.

Of course I considered her to be from Sousa. Don't you think it is kinda stupid to post a pic on the Sousa thread without stating any additional information and expect people to read your mind on where she may be from or located, by the way that was a rhetorical question. Sorry if I hurt your feelings with my ratings.

I am planning to STI and go to Sosua. Please suggest some good place to stay for 3 days where all the actions are. I want to try Blackbeards but they sold over Sat and Sun. Hotels charge guest fee? You can PM me some details that will be great.

I just wrapped up 7 days in Sosua. There is definitely a lot of action there. The streets are pretty busy at night. The police had a pretty strong presence all over the strip but didn't really seem to be bothering anyone. The street girls are not really my thing. I love to watch them but in this trip and also my last I had very good luck with girls I found on social media, mostly badoo. For short term it seems like the girls ask for 3000 but will come for 2000. I did have a fantastic toda la noche for 3000. One thing to note, I flew in to STI and my plan was to take an uber to Sosua. Uber was around 2000 pesos but when the driver showed up he wanted more money, he said 75 dollars total for that trip so I got upset and said forget it. He would not cancel so I couldn't get another uber. I ended up taking a taxi which was 85 dollars I think. After doing the trip I don't think anyone is doing that run for 40 dollars. Anyway just be mindful that uber doesn't always work flawlessly there. All in all it was fantastic trip. 4 girls over 7 days, some of them multiple times. Great food, great fun, and as always a great value. The Europa front desk was giving 50 pesos to 1 USA Dollar. I plan to return soon!

It's relaxing in the Sue; I am in the bar downstairs from Classico and I was just quoted $150 for all night. I swear since some fool broughtthose strippers here prices haven't been quoted the same.

I haven't been to Sousa yet but if that's 9 in DR then the bar is low or maybe I am spoiled. To you fellas who have been around, how does DR rank to Brazil or Colombia ratio wise? I have been those countries and the clubs are a majority of above 7. 5 to 9, slims waist, fat ass, and zero belly fat. Thou my issue with Colombia was the high amount of fake ass. The country I rank the highest is actually Morocco, basically 90% of the girls out in the clubs were 9 in my book and all natural (cute face, slim waist, fat ass).

I have always been a big fan of baileys pizza at one time best I had ever had. Last 2 times not up to my expectation. One of my favs now Sinatras breakfast and it 2 for one deals twice a week.

There's huge turnover in ownership, chefs and serving staff at most Sosua Restaurants. Food is inconsistent, service can be indifferent and menus change weekly.

The good news is it keeps the place from being boring as there are always new venues popping up with surprisingly good stuff (for a while anyway).

It's like the huge turnover in putas, never boring, and always a nice surpise or two to be found. Keeps the place interesting!

Latest for pizza lovers, Ciebo, quality and authentic! Forget the rest right now!

Street food from a few regularstands who have been around forever is always consistent and fresh and cheap. Those are the ones that set up at noon, and close down after 8 or so! Nothing kept over!

1) Spent a week in Sosua. Flew in to Pto Pta and left via Santiago. The flight prices are ridiculous but as they say, "charge what the traffic can bear. ".

2) The food scenario for me has turned out to be rather shabby. Ever since the Italian chef GianLuca left at New Garden, food is reasonably dismal there. I tried the Austrian place. Once they knew what an Italian expresso was. The new local inductee brought me a cupful of expresso, instead of a spoonful. Yuk, and the tira-me-su was definitely not worth salivating on. The Germany bar and Grill was okay but the Canadian place at the main intersection. Boy I am not going there ever. And I asked for a mere decent hamburger (their big mac)!

3) By the way, I tried that idiotic Jamaican restaurant in front of Casa Valeria for their Curry Goat. They had the gall of charging me a whopping 850 pesos while goat in a typical Dominican place is 350 pesos. Still pricey as goat is considered the priciest compared to pork / chicken / beef. Stupid me, I should have asked for the price before sitting down. I had a place to cook and so in desperation, I bought some goat meat (which too is frozen, unlike the fresh cuts in Santiago) and cooked. Fish too in Sosua is mostly frozen so the only way one could eat it, is as fried. Fried, as we all know, everything is rendered good including shoes. As an Italian saying goes.

4) The good news was the mangoes. There was a large variety and I devoured quite a load. The other good news were the women, even though I had 2 poor experiences with newbies. Generally never paid more than 2000 and on occasions, 1000 but I treat them well. Beer / juice, food where applicable and a small gift. I also must repeat that I never pick women from the streets and hence NEVER negotiate. Most women, came during the day and at night, I slept alone.

5) Noticed quite a few of the young women are smoking including the new fangled vapor gizmo but regular cigarillos as well. It is curious how the US, so quickly engulfs the smaller cultures, things that are "cool" and bad for you quickly became part of another culture. The rise in fat, is another clear indication of that colonialism. Soda is ubiquitous as are all things fried and just like the inner cities in the US, veg and fruits are way too expensive to be affordable. Add the alcohol. No wonder women turn out to be fat within a short space of time. I gave mangoes to a girl who on her next trip back told me that those were nice and sweet. Imagine that, in a place where mangoes are everywhere.

6) Even though, it has been routine by now to hobnob with 20 somethings, I realize that at home, it would be hard to find anything lower than 30 and the mind games, not to speak of my pocket. I guess I will continue to indulge in the pleasure the Good Lord has allowed me to partake in, pure happenstance, until I cannot. Long live La Republica Dominican!

This might not be new news to some of the people on this forum. Since my last trip in September, I have seen a drastic change in some women asking prices. Women are now asking in american dollars and what they are asking is outrageous. They want 100 to 150 $ for the night.

This might not be new news to some of the people on this forum. Since my last trip in September, I have seen a drastic change in some women asking prices. Women are now asking in american dollars and what they are asking is outrageous. They want 100 to 150 $ for the night. Last Sunday, there was suppose to be a concert at playa chiquita but the concert was cancelled due to the rapper being in a car accident. But some of the women who showed up was looking nice in their outfits. But I could not see paying that price but some people must be paying it if they are asking. Now I am in Santo Domingo, if anyone is around let me know. We can meet for some drinks. I am here until Monday.

In the freelance market of Sosua, it is just a function of supply and demand.

I personally see more Americans coming to Sosua than ever before, who prefer the big booty.

It's supposed to be the slower season but the number of Americans here are keeping the business here thriving! The snowbirds seeking to escape the gruelling northern winters, have mostly gone back to warmer temperatures, leaving mostly ex pats like me.

The chica's are simply taking advantage of the current market conditions on the strip, and shaking and showing everything they have in the booty department.

There are still a few slim hot ones around for guys like us, so it's all good!

Where I'm staying there are some really old fart ex pats, who are bringing amazingly beautiful (to me) slim young ones to the pool everyday, I'm almost jealous!

I totally agree that they are slim girls there for the taking. My friend loves the slim girls and I love them borderline thick. We don't compete against each other which is lovely. But he has no problems finding multiple of slim girls. I don't get the constant catty remarks about big girls and who go with them. Every couple of months you get the same comments. Are you paying for their enjoyment? If not don't worry about it and keep it moving. Everyone is different. Personally I don't care. I see a certain ethnic group that is primarily with Haitian women. I pay it no mind because it's their vacation and not mine. I don't feel the need to go on social media and talk about it. For what? That's childish.

I have been going to Sosua for ten years. Definitely know that there is a demand for heavier girls. There are a lot of big black guys that could lose a lot of pounds. Where am I from. Beaches of Southern California. I am skinny.

I don't care what the girls weight because we all have our type. So guys like heavy or slim. To each their own style. I was just trying to describe the weight of the girls walking the street.

But I did notice that when it was 5-10 years ago. I could find probably 5-10 skinny girls in Classico at 2 am. Where today it might be one or two at that time. You just have to make adjustments.
