I was last in Cuba in 2003 and stayed in a casa particular in Vedado but have long ago lost contact with the owner.

Can any regular in Havana recommend a girl friendly casa particular in either centro or Vedado?

Ok, I'm pulling the trigger on Havana and have some last minute questions about the bar / club scene:

Casa de la Musica?

Piano Bar. Neptuna and Avenida de Italia (Galiano).

Cuba Club. Location?

QBola Bar.

Mio why Tuyo.

Fantaxy. Closed?

Balabano. Closed?

Are there any other places that I should check out?

I was in Cuba like 3 years ago so my info is too dated to be of any use, what I can tell you is that I stayed in a private casa in the Vedado area, as typical some clubs close and new ones appear or I should say it is just the changing cycle of Havana.

I am glad I visited but must say that the 100% humidity and 95 degree temps just took every once of energy and enjoyment out of searching for chicas. This is the one place where I take a shower and within 2 minutes I am in complete sweat.

I did have a wingman whom I met on these boards and we met up at the airport on arrival and spent the whole few weeks with him. If not for him I don't know if my trip would have been as successful as it was, despite the constant heat and humidity, as he was from Jamacia and spoke perfect Spanish and he visits Cuba 3 or 4 times a year so he knew every spot.

Since we spoke a few weeks ago when I was in Cali Colombia I got up to Bogota and finally returned back home here in Medellin.

Not to forget, I have always been fascinated by Hemingway so the highlight of my visit to Havana, aside from the cool old Havana is to take a trip outside the city and visit his finca, what history of this great writer.

I'm looking to book a trip to a Latin American country in the next few weeks and undecided on where I want to go.

- I'm looking for: Good beaches in the day time, good looking P4P from Latin ladies at night.

- Budget: $700-800 (not including flight for about 5 days).

I am the worst person to ask. I sropped going to discos a few trips back. Best place to meet girls is on the street. Or to work FB (friend friends of your friends and then message and see if you can meet up).
