I agree with Oakie that there is a difference, and semi-pros are usually a more rewarding experience. I also agree that they have, or at least consider themselves to have, a slightly higher social standing.

My long-term girlfriend worked in a pool-hall, setting up the tables and serving drinks. Working hours were from 4 pm to 2 am (at which time it could be dangerous for them getting home, and my girl was once mugged at gun- and knife-point and robbed of her ID, which cost a packet to put right.) For this they were paid the princely sum of 4000 pesos per month. As the clientele was 95% Dominican, what tips she got only covered her moto to and from work and a meal from a street-vendor. The only reason the girls worked there was the occasional chance to go with a customer to the nearby hotel for a an hour or two at 1500 pesos. I would agree with Mr Enternational in calling her a puta but she would be genuinely offended at that job-description and so would her employers.

Any girl who goes out in the evening looking to gain money from sex, I call a puta. I reserve "semi-pro" for the girl going about her usual routine, not out looking for paid sex, but who can be picked up and fucked, yet fully expects payment at the end. Fine distinctions and grey areas maybe, but there is still a difference that is recognized by the local population.

SD it's hard to conquer when you don't know the layout. You not going to figure it out on a short vacation. The areas too big. And you're going to need transportation unless you concentrate in an area conveniently located near your hotel and access to chicas. This will limit your concentration of Chicas.

Go back to the Su. If you want a change of pace go to Cabarete or Puerto Plata for a day or two. Both of these places are about 20 minutes from the Su. Both of them offer a different change of pace yet the same rat race. Let the Su be your base.

I don't know how much time you have but, on a short vacation you don't have time for bullshit. SD Takes a better understanding. Dominican Cupid has been successful. Just remember not to put all your eggs in one basket. A lot of guys waste hours of preparation and talking to Chica prior to coming only for the Chica to be a no-show. It's like you spent hours and days conversing on WhatsApp and once you arrive in the country she's nowhere to be found. If you go DC route; You should Schedule 10 chicas a day to meet. Don't feel bad if you don't fit all of them in your schedule. Take the first one that comes on time. Sometimes on short vacation you just don't have time to conquer so big of an area.

You will have no more trouble finding girls in Santo Domingo than you would have in Sosua. You will have more variety and quality in Santo Domingo. Once the sun is low (beginning about 4 PM) the Conde is similar to Sosua in terms of concentration of willing providers in an open air setting. It is the place where you will need the least amount of Spanish and the least amount of effort to get girls. Just like Sosua.

As for GFE, my opinion is you are less likely to have anything along those lines in Sosua where 90%+ of the women you will meet are focused on getting your money and getting away from you as soon as possible to get somebody else's money. Let us know how you make out.

A little sketchy at times and the girls could have been a bit cleaner but I loved it for its convenience and abundance of women at cheap prices compared to the USA I am in my mid thirties, Caucasian, in decent shape, good job, I can pull regular American girls out of the bars sometimes, my game is decent enough, very poor Spanish skills. I really would like to visit Santo Domingo and try and see if I can snag some semi-pros or regular Dominicans. Also meet at least one girl for regular GFE while I am there. Will I be able to do this without knowing much Spanish and being a bit older? I want to spend 4-5 days and shoot for two girls a day. This was obviously guaranteed in Sosua, but I hear I may be out of luck in SD. If my chances of scoring semi-pros is 50/50 I the rather just go back to Sosua, but if its higher than that, I would like to take my chances and check SD out. If anyone with experience could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it!

On such a short trip and with little Spanish, your chances are less than 5% (unless you are prepared to spend three times what it would cost you for P4P in Sosua. Or unless you look like Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise when they were in their mid-thirties).

I've lived here in USA for many years and never had any problem with crime.

Neither have I for the most part, hell I can't remember the last time I locked my door I'm not even sure that I have a key. The simple proof of the safety in most of the USA Vs. Most third world countries is the bars on every single window and door of almost every single home and business, you don't see that in any area of the USA Except the more dangerous parts of the inner cities, there is a reason for that. The US is more dangerous than DR...

I've lived here in USA for many years and never had any problem with crime. I lived in Miami during the 80's when the drug and crime were at its highest and never was touched by either one.

In the USA you call the police and they come to help you, not like in the DR where see you as a target to rip you off not to help you.

DR might not be dangerous for you because you the not live in a barrio but for the Dominicans that do and have to rely on public transportation, the DR I very dangerous. I know that for us foreigners is not really that dangerous because we stay in tourist areas but ask any Dominican and you'll see what they say.

I'm in touch with real Dominicans.

Once again, The Dominican Republic is a very dangerous country for the Dominicans living there, USA must be dangerous for those involved in criminal activities.
