Why do people negotiate transportation separately? The price, whatever it is, should be all-inclusive. I do not care how they get to my place, as long as they do so at he agreed-upon time. In any case, I assume that in most cases, they will take the metro, not a taxi. Why would they pay 100 UAH and get stuck in traffic, when they can pay 8 and arrive even faster. Well, maybe some girls would do ti for the feeling of luxury they get, and because it is not their money, but most girls, the usual pragmatic Kiev girls, would just pocket the money and take the metro.

Besides, 200 UAh is the real price (not the foreigner price) all the way from the airport, so how far are these girls coming from?

Well, what is a taxi if not a stranger in a car? And besides, they will soon be naked in an apartment with a stranger, so the logic does not hold. They didn't insult or made me feel uncomfortable. I would consider that being more of a different personality, more of a macho. Somewhat contrasting with the behavior of downtown Kiev residents. Those two Italians weren't obnoxious, just different. They were also visibly disappointed of not scoring easily, just being out of their element. Kiev would surely take their (and mine) money, with or without return on investment.

Ukraine is different from Italy, and these days Ukrainian girls behave differently towards foreigners than to their own. Besides that, at Avalon it did happen to me too, even though I spoke as a native. I approached couple young ladies, and one wanted to join me, but the other politely and firmly rejected, leaving no chance to the other one or myself.

Yes, it is a tourist trap for the unprepared and naive traveler.

Use dovobo or any other such sites. Plenty of apartments available, maybe not for such a long time at first. I am sure that once you arrive, they would be willing to extend your lease. They just do not want to block off 2 months until hey are sure you will be there. Also, YOU do not want to settle on a place for 2 months before seeing it in person and spending a few nights. If you do not like it, switch. Switching is easier once you are there.

Baggage fees? How much luggage are you bringing? One 23 Kg suitcase is standard. Well, Air Baltic charges for everything!

Hey guys. So I need some advice. This trip is coming up very fast (July 16th) and its caught me off guard. I'm going to be there for 2 full months but I haven't found a place to stay yet. I'm looking at airbnb and homeaway but the prices seem to be shifting around a lot on the same listings. And they are exorbitant. Also, nobody wants to lease for as long as I want to stay. They are sociable to the extreme. They are the only ones who go to *****houses with a group of friends, often with family members. I once met a group at a German FKK that included a guy, , his cousin and his nephew. Also at nightclubs, they hunt as a group.
