It's usually pretty easy to identify the lady boys in Indonesia.

My post was more a tongue in cheek commentary on the guys who aren't quite ready to admit their preferences to themselves nor their monger buddies. Hence their numerous "accidents" that no one really believes after a while.

That one looked like it could either be a very hot chick, or possibly a lady boy. Since I had never seen a lady boy in Blok M before, I assumed it had to be a girl. But when I talked to her / him, one of the other girls told me it was a lady boy. I believe she / he used to go by the name Davina back then. That lady boy would make out (DFK) with a different white guy in that bar every night. Most times it was the youngest, best looking guy in the bar. But I never saw a repeat with any one guy, so they were probably getting a shock back in their hotel room. They finally banned her from My Bar. The reason I mention it is I just today looked through the services section on the Jakarta Craigslist where free lancers post. That same lady boy from My Bar is on there going by the name Lovenia now rather than Davina. That's 12 years after the My Bar days. There is no doubt that non-Thai Asians have totally screwed the market in Bangkok. It's so expensive there now that it makes it far less desirable as a location to visit.

I don't fully expect anyone to take my advice, nor will I likely fully take anyone else's advice. But I do like to throw some paint on the wall and see if it sticks. I have been around Jakarta so long that it's tough for me to pay these outlandish prices when they were far less than that not long ago. If every girl in CJs or BATS were to ask me for 2 million rupiah, I would stop going to those places.
