    Bachelor's Party Advice

    Hey everyone,

We are all set to go to Phuket for a friend's bachelor party.

I have read the usual articles on what to expect and do. Have been to Bangkok previously but this one is with a larger group. Could some of the seniors advice how do we make the most of this trip. Should we get escorts via online sites to the villa or which are the clubs you would suggest.

    Expecting sincere advice.

    Thanks in advance.

Great advice. I just came back from my stay in June and I feel the best time to visit Phuket / Patong is during the low season (although I am heading back again in December) . Hotel prices are cheap plus the option to find good talent at gogo bars and beer bars is a plenty. Recommend you pick a hotel close to Bangla since its easier to bring the girl to your hotel; also the taxis charge a ridiculous amount. Look at Summer Breeze Hotel. It has been my go to hotel when I visit Phuket.

Since it is quite deep into low season don't feel pressure in booking all your stay. Or have a open booking with early cancel option. Get the layout and move around if that suits your experience better. Patong always possible to find good value for 1000 THB per night!

    Have fun!

    From another land.

I will be in Phuket the last 2 weeks of August, this will be my second time to Patong, but first time mongering.

I have already read extensively through this and other blogs, I have already have 3 freelancer lines as a backups, but am looking to hit the go go bars / beer bars looking for "talent".

I've read all about general prices and plan to splurge a little as I have no problem paying a good price for good talent (the 3 FL have all quoted me 3500 for LT which is considered cheap by me, as I'm used to paying about the same price for 1 pop in the country I'm in now).

So that leaves the last question.

This would be my first experience letting a girl into my hotel room, other than the general safety tip to keep valuables safe, any other words of caution.

    TIA.

The Pharmacies between Karon and Kata on the hill sell it. I use Kamagra jelly. 2000 b for 50 or 100 b each if sold individually. Works great for me. Enjoy!

Local pharmacies all have generic Viagra, just go in and ask. Don't go to 7/11, Boots or Watson pharmacies, they don't have it. The generic is cheap, 4 pills for 350 thb.

That its better to hire own scooter, but not good idea in rain season.

Apparently Grab also doesn't work in Phuket like other cities and you constantly needing to haggle for a proper taxi rate?
Its very dangerous hiring scooters / motor bikes in Phuket. I did it but I have ridden bikes for years. You need eyes in the back of your head. If you read the Thai expat forums, its just filled with info about motor bike crashes and expats getting wiped out. Also you will come across a lot of road blocks, asking to see your licence and fines for no helmet. If I was going to Phuket for short holiday and wanted to get about I would hire a car.

Not a fan of mopeds personally. Seen a few accidents in rainy season and it's not ideal if it chucks it down anyway, for obvious reasons. Taxis are expensive. I don't like Patong personally but I go there once every couple of weeks or so for some fun if my regular isn't around. I stay in Bangtao and always hire a car. It is expensive compared to a moped but still much cheaper than taxis if you need transport every day, which I do. Plus you don't get rained on.

Essentially it is about cost vs convenience. Yes taxis are expensive. If you are paying 2- 300 baht for a 10 min taxi ride one way every time you want to go somewhere it makes selecting your location more important. I like Patong because it is big and has variety, you can select a wide range of accommodations, the beach is close, Jung Ceylon provides dining, shopping, entertainments, plenty of bars and plenty of tourist agents if you want to do some excursions. Its depends what you want to do when you are not chasing skirt.

Kamala Beach is one, many bars with ladies from Isan that are sitting bored of playing pool and talking to the same expats that also stay during the slow months. The pickings are easy and the price is a good offer, 1000 is ok. Bar fines are 500 before 10:00 pm and 300 after. All takers are overnight unless you want them to leave.

These ladies live in a sponsored room paid by the Bar. 10 ladies is normal to a room or small house.

I live in Laguna and Kamala is a 15 minute drive. Very few LB's. A couple of bars but that's all.

In the high season after August the Euros start to arrive and competition heats up. Also the price doubles. The girls hold out for 2500, but will accept 2000..

That is a stupid fact (if true) and possibly includes villagers who have no salary and hunt and fish for food or tend the rice farm, or sell stuff at a market, or includes waitresses. As others pointed out all the arithmetic was shot as well.

If a bargirl makes 125 K Baht per month, she is doing very well. A small percentage make that. If she makes it in a week, she is getting rich fast. Naturally someone else is getting rich on the money too.

Find yourself a fab bargirl or MP girl and take her away for a week of fun (try a weekend first to be sure). Will cost far less. Find out how much a good girl really needs to make to feel relaxed and enjoy herself.
