I'm planning a trip to Seoul soon and wondering about The Hill in Itaewon. How is it these days? Still anything open? I used to see Cherry, Bean and Laura alot, any of them still around?

Some of the shops closed as the street is being renovated. Cherry and Bean are at Avant Garde along with Kay (who is there only on weekends) . Laura is still there as well, just across from Avant Garde.

Yes. Go there. Post a report. Just beware of the A-row because some of the food offerings on those carts are not exactly fresh.

And "try to drag you in" means the mamasans grab you (they're surprisingly strong!) and recommend you see their girl (s) by pulling you towards their closed doors. I second that it opens around 8 pm. However, I've gotten action as early as noon (only place open at the time) in Cheonho, and the last person I met says she works till 4 am on the days she's there. Also depends on the day of the week, as more places are open (in the evenings) on Friday and Saturday compared to other days. As a foreigner, YMMV, so you might have better luck when there are fewer customers overall.
