This has to be of the paramount importance. So yes, buying a Hungarian SIM card is a must. I have mentioned this in many of my posts since I have joined the forum in 2014. There is no company in Hungary called T mobile, it is called Magyar Telekom. It used to be called T Mobile & Westel before that but we are in 2019 & accurate name of the company should be used. To offer someone who is a local 5000 Ft to call a working girl from his phone is a joke. No one will do it for many reasons. Furthermore, 5000 Ft is not much & no 5000 Ft is not cheaper than a price of a SIM card. To buy Magyar Telekom SIM card at the official selling points costs 2000 Ft. Therefore, for 5000 Ft you can buy 2 Magyar Telekom SIM cards & you will still have 1000 Ft left in your pocket.

It is always better to buy & use a Hungarian SIM card. I recommend Magyar Telekom.

Yes, definitely get a local sim card. For various reasons, many girls will only pick up calls from a Hungarian number.

I have had a Vodafone sim card that I have used for several years, but T Mobile also has plans available for tourists too.

Both companies have stores in Budapest with English speaking salespeople to set you up with a basic calling and messaging plan.

I will write up a separate post in a few days about what to expect when contacting girls.

I have tried using international numbers and all of them would just decline the call.

It's a no-brainer just get a local number from the airport as soon as you land. And be sure to activate caller ID from the settings on your phone. Had to learn the hard way really.

It's highly recommended that you get a Hungarian sim card because many escorts won't answer to a foreigner phone number. Maybe because they don't really speak proper English or because some reason they don't date foreigners.

Although I have never obtained a Hungarian SIM card, I know that others on here have recommended it. I am pretty sure it was addressed by someone in the blog on mongering in Hungary. I think this is your call and would factor in how long you will be in Hungary and how flexible you are as to the girls you will see. One little trick I find that works is to compensate a girl you see for making introductions and recommendations to a list you might have. That has worked for me in the past and is low cost. If you have a short list of girls you wish to see with their contact info, a local can quickly make calls or send text messages for you and would happily accept, as an example, 5.000 forint for that. Cheaper than a SIM card. No comment on your other question, I just don't know. Have fun!

I don't really have any experiences with massage services in Budapest, so I can't offer any advice regarding that. There is another guy that posts on here regularly that does, perhaps he can give you his opinion.

Regarding payment, I can only speak from my experience. Typically if you are a new customer, the girl expects you to pay upfront. Some will ask you for it directly. Many prefer not to discuss it and expect you to leave it on a nearby table or dresser while you are undressing. Sometimes the money will remain there the whole time and other times the girl will take while you are in the shower. I wouldn't put it in an envelope since they are probably more comfortable seeing the money out in the open.

Regarding weekends, some girls take advance bookings and others will only take appointments on the same day, so it is definitely YMMV.

I probably should have explained my comments more clearly regarding paying an amount "you are comfortable with". Some girls charge high prices to foreigners for the very reason that you mention, they assume that you don't know the normal range of prices in Budapest and that you will automatically pay a higher price because you still consider it cheap compared to the pricing in your home country. I shall be offline for a couple of days now, but before that, one small seasonal tip for those who are interested in the streetwalker scene, in spite of all the known warnings: you may try and take a stroll on Friday or Saturday night (if the tip works, which is far from being certain, the best time should be between 10 and 12 pm) along the 9th district side of Ulloi street from Corvin negyed (or rather Pava street, but Corvin is a famous and easy-to-find junction) towards Nagyvarad square. I do come from another country in Europe where 25 k-30 k HUF is still very cheap for an hour with a working lady (and I'm not even an old white dude with loads of money! It seems that somewhere between 18 k to 30 k is the price range, depending on extra services.

So I personally wouldn't advocate paying a higher price (above 15 K to 20 K per hour) to just any girl. I don't always know what a girl charges locals, so there is a gray area with some where it wouldn't be unreasonable if she charged 20 K or 25 K. A few examples would be a popular girl that may be a little older (mid to late 20's) with lots of excellent reviews or a new very attractive girl that is in high demand. My examples are based on visiting her, you would need to add 5 K or more for outcall. Also some girls have a unique look compared to others that advertise in Budapest or offer some things on their data sheet that others charge extra for, so I am OK with sometimes paying with 2 K to 5 K above what they may charge locals (assuming I know that price) for these types of girls.

However, there are others that are older that have professional photos or some that just happen to speak English well that probably aren't in high demand with locals that I definitely wouldn't pay anything more than 20 K for. Here is an example of one that I spoke to on a Saturday afternoon when most other girls were already booked. She has a few good reviews and sounded very nice on the phone. So rather than saying a "paying an amount that you are comfortable with", a better way to explain it would be "to pay what you feel is a reasonable price" based on the girl's looks, popularity, and what she offers on her datasheet taking into account the normal range of prices for incall (15 K to 25 K) in Budapest. I had a situation happen to me that was similar to what you described. Another English speaker had recommended a new advertiser, so I already knew her price (18 K). Her English on the phone was quite bad and difficult to understand, but she was easier to communicate with in person. When I got there she asked for 25 K and I told her I thought the price was 18 K and indicated that was all that I had. She checked with her friend and agreed to accept 18 K. It worked out fine, she didn't have a negative attitude afterwards and my experience with her was quite good.

However, the reason that I wouldn't advocate doing this regularly is that I had the sense that this girl was very experienced (probably worked in Germany or in the UK), so she didn't take it personally that I offered her less than what she asked. Many other girls that I have met, probably would take it personally and perhaps ask you to leave or have a bad attitude towards you. Some even write in their profiles that if you want to bargain, go visit the market. So for me it is not worth the risk and I decide on the phone to either pay what they request or tell them no thanks and move on to the next girl.
