Another wall from what used to be the terrace has collapsed. The waves are now just a few meters away from the bar.

The makuti roof has been removed. Almost at every high tide something is washed away.

However, they did not give up hope, as they are constructing a new sewage system now.

Here are some photos from about 11 years ago and from the present situation.

That place is finished. Tempos passados. The present Kikuyu who rents the place for 5000 usd a month from the son of the original Italian proprietor is not going to make it profitable. The sea will slowly get at it. There is other and much better beaches. And the land belongs to the Uhuru clan. Sad facts. The heydays of party at North Beach are over. But there is plenty of sweet pussy around for those who know how to access it. But for night life. No matter where in Kenya Party factor is going down hill. Gone are the days of Tembo or Florida Madhouse where you could take your pick of 100 or more chicas at once. Now its like the white hunter in the grasslands Game can show any time any place. And your time to move in for the kill is a short window before the game disappears in the Bush again.

I have been looking for the best cappuccino as well for a long time.

Although the quality at the different places can vary by the day, there are several places that give a permanent good to excellent quality, such as Yul's, indeed Java and Caffesserie, although this last place is quite dark now, as the place is enclosed now, due to preparatory works for the new Shoprite supermarket.

An excellent cappuccino is served in the Whitesands Hotel in a pleasant environment. I remember a good cappuccino in the Veranda Italian restaurant after a meal, but that is long time ago.

In Mtwapa you can get a good one in La Follia, near big Tuskys, but the quality varies. At Moorings the quality is alwsys good.

Of course Italy is still the Mecca for the cappuccino lover and also at very affordable prices, as they are fixed by law, around 1,2 euro everywhere, even at the airport, this in sharp contrast to other airports, where the price of a cappuccino now approaches the 5 euro mark.

There is 2 places now in Mtwapa. The name is Croissant Cafe not Capuccino. Mix up. The other one is La Parisienne Restaurant. New place. Both of them have espresso machines. Decent enough. If the machines are not broken.

Javas or Cafesserie are always a sure bet in Nyali and on Island.

Other latest news. Cheers has a new proprietor. A danish man. He wants to make that place number one. Lets see. But I am less in nightlife and more in day and evening hunts. There is always new girls popping up. Any place. Any time.

It depends. I am not going there. First of all I am budget monger on a long term trip. I am not interested in upmarket updressed overpriced hoes. Even Uber eats in my budget. African atmosphere totally gone.

Yesterday again at Casuarina. Full of smoking expired slay queens. The few acceptable ones were with muzungus or were sexy and they know it. Useless to enquire as I am not paying moon prices. There was a piece of news. 75% of Kenyans make less than 15.000 ksh a month. And all the Casuarina slay queens you can meet during the afternoon patrolling on the strip in Mtwapa and there you can take them at knockdown prices. I was discriminate. So I am all set. It takes 2 weeks then you have a number of "cleaning ladies" which come and clean my pipe for a 1000 ksh ST and overnighter 3 to 4 shots I give 1500 to 2000. And that includes doing the laundry also. I ll never understand the clueless mongers taking out hard core slay queens and wine and dine them. Total waste of money. Or do you take out a hooker for a date in your home countries and worse yet treat them as GF and even marry them?? But many deposit their brain at Mombasa airport as soon as they step in the moist and humid air of Africa. At best you loose all your cash. In the worst. You loose your life.
