Hi guys,

Going to Tijuana for my very first time in a couple of weeks. Thanks to all your reports, hopefully everything goes well. I will be staying at Hotel Cascadas for a couple of nights. One question I have is, when I'm ready to head back to the border, what should I tell the cab driver if I want to get dropped off at Pedwest?

Don't take a taxi. As a guest of Hotel Cascadas, when you are ready to leave just walk up to the desk on the sidewalk in front of HK Tell them you are going to Chaparrel or the new border. They will give you a limo ride right to the border. Its free and safer than a taxi. Tip the driver a couple bucks and all is well.

What is the general consensus on making loans?

Treat any loan to a chica as a gift. If you get it back in cash, that's amazing. If you get it back in trade, that's great. If you get anything back at all, that's a miracle.

If you never want to see her again, give her a loan. She won't have the money to pay you back, so she will avoid you. If you want to see her again, make it a gift, with a discount on her services till the gift is repaid, for example 1000 pesos instead of the usual 1500 pesos. I've done that with chicas successfully. Get them gifts they want from San Diego, like laptops, cellphones or Juul vapes, but I get preferred customer treatment. One hand washes the other. . . You never want to be in the position of turning into a hated debt collector chasing deadbeat girlfriends.

Last week I stopped into a pharmacy to get ampicilina. The lady told me that I had to go to the doctor next door for a prescription. What kind of scam shit is that?

Former microbiologist here. It's a legitimate concern within the medical community that if anybody who wanted to were allowed to go and buy their own antibiotics whenever they wanted when a medical professional would consider it unwarranted, then pathogens would develop resistance over time, eventually rendering said antibiotics obsolete. This is standard practice, even in Mexico. But of course, in Mexico you are more likely to find someone who is willing to deviate to make a few pesos.

Tell him that you are going to Ped West then hand him 50 pesos when you get out. I am a Ped East guy. Too much walking involved for Ped West. Then with Ped East I am out right at the trolley. No shuttles to take or long walks to make. I guess if you parked a car close to Ped West. Other than that why would you want to go there?

PedWest is also widely known by the name El Chaparral.

I get Cialis at a Calimax that's pretty far off the tourist track. I get the less-popular 5-MG daily dose variety, in boxes of 28. The first time, I told them what I wanted, and they said they could have it the next day. I've been buying from them every month for over a year now. Calimax is a big chain, and your experience at any of them should be similar.

For generic Viagra, a lot of the guys go to the Piri pharmacy, across from the wax museum. They're only open in the daytime, which is just as well given the sketchy nature of the neighborhood. They may have the best deal on sildenafil, but for my Cialis, not so much.

The safe question always makes me laugh. There are tons of pharmacies. Just walk in and tell them what you want. If you do not like the price leave out and walk into another. Don't make brain surgery out of it.

Good point. I also have to travel with less luggage. I am used to 10-day trips to Canada, Germany etc and take a laptop, even a full-size keyboard and a huge suitcase that is just below the 50 lbs limit! But for Tijuana plan only 4-5 days so may use smaller luggage!

$40 for Uber to me is small price to pay for convenience and safety but may reconsider. I always get mid-scale hotels like Ticuan. I like more modern and newer. Great hotel in Frankfurt was about 100 euro and usually do Best Western Plus around $US100 (after big exchange discount).

I was amazed how much less expensive escorts are in Tijuana at $US80-120/ HR via most agencies. I realize different economy and probably a huge exchange rate advantage.

I am surprised how much cheaper Southwest Airlines is Phoenix to SD vs American I usually use.

Is there some way to get from the trolly to PedWest?

If you are taking the trolley, why not use PedEast? It's right there, no shuttle needed and a lot less walking. You can get a cab or uber from PedEast just as easily. The only advantage to PedWest that I know is that the HK limo stop is near there, but a cab is not much more than tipping the limo driver, or you could call the limo to PedEast. It's often there picking up other guys anyway.

From the trolley terminal at PedEast it's a 10-15 minute walk to PedWest. Easy enough if you don't have major luggage.

Yes there is a bus or shuttles. It's a short only about 15 minutes. There is a pedestrian bridge you can take.
