Every city has a money changer who offers a better rate than the competition.
In Bangkok, it is Vasu. In Jakarta there is a no-name building (very close to Hotel Classic) full of money changers. If you need directions, send me a PM.

Is there a preferred Currency or Money changer in Singapore?
I plan to exchange a big sum of money. Even a 10 cents difference will add up.

I searched the posts in this forum going back to 2015 and found two names:

1) Mustafa Center
2) Chinatown People's Park area

Please share your recommendation or experience.

You could try online apps and indo maids but I think there is some houses in Geylang in Jalan Molek. If these are legal or good I don't know hopefully someone that ventured there can give more info.

There were 2 Indonesian bars in the 4 Floors. I'm not sure if they are still running. On the far right of the building as you enter from Orchard Rd, down the little lane off the main walkway. One was the same level as Ipanema, the other the next level up. Just have a walk around and you will find them if they are still going.

As mentioned before, I steeled my expectations here and thought of it more of an opportunity to get my feet wet rather than go swimming. Did my activities for the day and then headed down to Orchard Towers on the Sunday night around 1 am to see what the action was like....
I have to say that I was a bit disappointed in the number, quality and pricing at Ipanema having just come from Beach Club in Kuala Lumpur, but I guess that's to be expected given the large wealth gap between the customers of each country.

Really appreciate your OT report, and think your strategy of getting your feet wet before you start swimming was a very good one. Hope you enjoyed your Singapore visit and hope there's another one with more fun in the future.

I must head over to the KL forum and look for your reports there. I rarely visit KL and on the few times I have done so, I have never ventured to Beach Club. I should try to change that on my next trip!

I stayed at the Orchard Hotel as it seemed the closest to Orchard Towers so I'll drop a note on mongering via Orchard Hotel. The lobby area is very large (see annotated photos attached) and it is unavoidable that you have to walk past to the open area buffet to the right or the open area bar to the left as you make your beeline to the elevators. There are 2 main hotel entrances, but you will pass by the lobby and be seen either way.

Those are really useful notes, thanks 3 some! Orchard is rather popular with punters due to location and price / value. At a few of the hotels I've stayed at, I often suss out alternative ways to get to the elevator and my room to minimize the chance of being seen when I am on a 'work' trip with colleagues. Sometimes the hotel has a rear exit to a shopping mall or even a car park area, and you can then walk up steps to an upper level floor of ballrooms and meeting rooms etc and catch the elevator there rather than in the lobby, especially if there's a bar in the lobby or just outside.

If I were you, I would try the Filipino KTVs. I know one of them which has a steady arrival of young beauties and the girls don't make much on LDs and are thus always on the lookout for opportunities.
They however need to be present during the evenings and can't leave before 2 am and sometimes 4 am.
I'll PM you the details and just go there early (7 ish), grab a beer, offer a LD to someone who caught your fancy, have a chit-chat and swap anytime would you not be going in the right direction.
I've even seen regulars taking the girls out before midnight. Meaning papasan is quite flexible (and of course keeping the loyalty of his regulars.
As I said, there's quite a turnover there so you might fall on somebody going back to the Philippines and who will be more inclined to breaking the rules. Also, most of the girls are nice. Not to worry if you are straightforward about your intentions.

This is really solid advice, sounds like an experience I'd like to try. My only thing would be arriving 7 pm and having to wait for many hours before taking a girl out, even if she can leave a little before midnight that's 4+ hours, which I'd rate as 3.5 hours too long in one of these places, especially with all the BMD stuff going on.
