Posts: 3851A good idea before heading South is to email yourself a little cheat sheet with agency numbers, prices, and girls you want to see. Therefore you won't be wasting your precious time.

Seccion Monumenal is the district that borders Playas, to the north. Great view of the Donald J Dump memorial border fence.

Posts: 2420Anyone knows of a decent love motel at the Playas like La Mansion? Or a reasonable priced / quality regular motel out there?

Posts: 841The basic rooms at Hotel Coahuila are very basic. Nowhere near as nice as Cascadas, even compared to the standard rooms. But at $20 without needing VIP it's a good deal. Basic bed, decent shower, toilet. Seemed clean enough. No AC and the TV remote didn't work, but I didn't care. Rooms towards the front will be noisy due to the A / see machinery noises on the roof (the club has AC, but the hotel doesn't!) but more so because of the ladies' shoes as they climb the stairs and walk down the hall. Clack-clack-clack! Ask for a room in the back and it should be quieter (room 310 is good, end of the hall). No exterior windows in the basic rooms. The suites face the street and have windows, but I don't know what they cost and I imagine the street noise would be bad. Security didn't seem spectacular. The keys are physical, and I'd be willing to bet that they work on a number of different doors, and who knows how many staff members have access. My room did not have a safe. I wouldn't keep a lot of cash or valuable lying around.
Rooms on the second floor are all set up for short time, and they don't have keys you can keep. So if they give you a second floor room you'll need to get the key from the desk every time you go in and out.
My buddy was able to check in at noon. I've checked in before 1:00 after checking out of Cascadas.
If you have VIP at Hong Kong and it is Monday or Tuesday, then Cascadas is definitely the better value. If you don't have VIP or it is Wednesday, check out Coahuila. I plan on staying there again on my next trip.
