Apparently they are trying to pass a new criminal code that would ban unmarried couples and a bunch of other things. Could this really happen? Could prostitution be banned (and actually stamped out in the form we know it) in Indonesia? My personal impression is that I see more and more hijabs, hear more and more calls for prayer, more and more people taking Ramadan serious etc in Jakarta, and although Indonesia obviously has a strong underlying liberal / chaotic streak, I wonder whether there could be a tipping point when the Islamists become so powerful that they actually succeed in getting control and strangling the country's spirit. Any insights from people who know more about Indonesian society and politics than I do would be appreciated.

I admire your preparation but fear you may have over thought any problems. Google translate is fraught with errors and often gives litteral, word for word translations that lose the meaning or context you are trying to get across. Eg your translation of Blow Job reads more as "Breath Occupation" so may not be of much assistance.

This may cause more problems than it solves. Eg your translation of Blow Job reads more as Breath Occupation so may not be of much assistance.

While the girls and mamasans may speak very little or no conversational English, they will know a few words pertaining to their job. 'No condom', 'Blow Job' and the like are understood in both languages so you will be able to get your point made.

I would follow Smoothy's recommendations on where BBBJ is a near certainty or, if other reasons see you at the other locations, just make use of simple English instructions and hand signals rather than pre prepared translations and videos.

I used to go to Jakarta a lot back in 2014. While fancy places, brothels (like Hotel travel) and spas are all fun, I miss the adventures, seedy times back when Kalibojo was still open. The veterans may know what I am talking about. It gave me the kick to loaf around there (with almost no bules around) and just venture. Super local and cheap as fuck.

Does anyone know if such places (like Kalibojo) still exists and can trow in some names so I can research myself? Happy to RTFF but cannot get the right keywords / names to start.

I am going to try brothels like Classic, 1001 this time around and I've read enough reports to know BBBJ will be hit or miss.

My experience over multiple trips is that BBBJ's are a 60/40 probability in 1001 while BBBJ's are a 100% probability in Malioboro / Malio. In fact I can't recall ever NOT receiving a BBBJ in Malioboro / Malio along with some pretty wild sex, but I CAN recall being with 1001 & Alexis girls and being offered CBJ's, not a majority of the time, but too many times for me to tolerate. Was watching Youtube last night and saw a video about that. There is a Muslim elected? Female that is trying to implement the sharia law when it comes to sex. She has some opposition. Not sure if it happens this year or next but the clouds are gathering for sure.

As far as I know they always did that. Alexis did it as well. I think it's 21%, but it may well be 30%.

I visited M. O. Bar back in 2014 several times on lady's night. The girl's drinks are free so that is at least partial motivation for the girls to come. It was never overly crowded, tho I did go earlier in the evening, but I did meet a few nice ladies that made the stop worthwhile.
