It's been a number of years since I've been to either place, but I have to say that of all the cultures/nationalities I've encountered, Thai and Brazillian women are my favorite. I can't decide which is best, I'd really like a woman who was half of each, or better yet, have at least one of each.

Thai women tend to be rather shy - I always found it annoying when, after spending an hour with them at the bar, you go back to your hotel room and the first thing they do is turn off the lights and say "I shy, I shy" (believe it or not, one of my buddies got this from the "banana girl" from one of those live shows). In some cases, the only way to get them to turn the lights back on is to accuse them of being a lady boy. As far as the money thing goes - the only place I've ever been ripped off by pro's (or non-pro's, for that matter) is in the good ole USA. So, I can't give you a comparison there. Sounds to me from your post that if you're worried about spending too much money on a girl, then limit yourself to STR's - don't let her spend the night, don't take her to lunch, just take care of business and kick her out. Me, if I find a girl I really enjoy being with, I prefer the all nighters & if I wind up spending a couple days or weeks with her, it's still going to be cheaper than if I were doing the same thing in the USA with a non-pro - just make sure she knows that it's a temporary thing that's not leading up to marriage or any sort of relationship that lasts beyond your vacation.

Agency questions:

The girls tend not to be clockwatchers, and if you treat them nice and offer a soda, they are in no hurry to leave. HOWEVER, the agency IS a clockwatcher, and the girls are required to call in when they arrive and when they leave, so, especially if it is a busy night, they will be under pressure to leave. The 2 pop is pretty much up to the girl, but if you pay for 2 hours there should be no problem, wouldn't hurt to give the poor girl a tip tho!

If you make arrangements see the girl outside the agency she will generally be more relaxed and you can take her to lunch, beach, Sugarloaf, etc., without worrying about time constraints. Many of the girls are quite charming and nice, so you may enjoy this, especially if you speak some Portuguese. A question for those who have experience with Rio escort services:

I have seen several glowing reports regarding these in my research preparation for my upcoming trip in September. As many of you know, here in the U.S. if you use an escort, she (or the agency) will quote a rate for "up to an hour." Of course that means as soon as you pop, the girl has her clothes on and is out the door before you blink, even if it's only been 20 minutes.
