So just a piece of advisory to everyone visiting nahda AMP's. These places are mentioned as MP on cards but are operating as dingy filthy *houses. You will gain nothing out of it and probably if it's your unlucky day might end up getting robbed or scammed. I still fail to understand what made me follow this shady African guy back to his apartment.

Damn this sounds awful but can totally relate as I have made similar albeit much less dodgy post brunch mistakes visiting AMPS. This type of story is something that no one would really believe unless you have properly seen or lived in Dubai, really interesting read though and hope you get back on the saddle soon!

Nothing to do with mongering but if you are in the middle of an LE raid. A friend did this at an unlicensed bar in India. He was in middle of the sweep and patrons were rounded up near the door. He walked up to a guy who was really busy and started pestering him asking him what's going on. He went to a few others also. Finally someone asked him to go away and he said he was walking by and wanted to see what the fuss was all about so he was asking. The cop told him that he could not be here as a walk in and escorted him out. They thought he was a lookieloo.

You are taking too much risk Th69 by picking up random card and following an African to an apartment in the building. You are lucky not to get robbed. A proper AMP in a shop is much safer but that too is under scanner now a days. Just lay low for few days and get yourself subscription. There are many tried and tested AMP places which seniors will share with you because of your recent contributions.

I feel you man. This part of Dubai isn't safe nor known for good hygiene. Deira and Bur Dubai gave me the worst experiences.

On the other side of the city, there are Marina, Barsha, and TECOM that have better quality, hygiene, and way more safe. But all come at price!

Not sure if this post belongs to this thread or another one but since it all started after I called a number mentioned on a massage card, I shall post this here.

Was sloshed at a brunch party this weekend and while heading back home I called this number mentioned on a massage card (Nahda) After receiving locations I ended up in an apartment lobby which seemed to be filled with bachelors and Filipino families. No money was asked up until now and on my way to the room I could see an African and Vietnamese lady cooking something in the kitchen (that probably explains the horrible stench).

In continuation of the reported raids, today evening most of the Spas in Oud Metha were shut down and DED security seal placed including in my favourite viet place near the asian fusion resto.

I surveyed the area on my usual evening jogging routine and except one or two in interior streets all have been shut down. Happened early evening it seems. Stay Safe folks !

Why?

She is totally alone as ALL 10 staff were taken 10 days ago in a raid. All have now been deported, leaving the spa with no staff, hence the owner asked the crazy PRC to take care of the place whilst they find a way forward.

Stay vigilant and avoid street spas, especially at night is what she advised!

Nice report once again. With a couple of posts, you single-handedly managed to revive this thread and made Al Nahda an axciting AMP destination. You should definitely get a subscription as it will open you the dooe to a world of endless possibilities. If you're not confident using a credit card from the UAE, use one from wherever you come from once you're back home for vacation. Otherwise, you can drop hints to let your forum brethren wear their Sherlock Holmes hats and go on an exciting scavenger hunt, it's a bit a tradition on this forum.

Sent a text to one of my frequently visited AMP in Deira last night. She replied back saying most of the staff were not working and were asked to go back home as there was increased LE activity in the area. Control the itch lay low for a few days guys.

Evening Gentlemen,
