Last Sunday night HK was packed. Unbelievable number of girls in there. Left about 9 pm after couple hours hanging out with buddy. Was interesting as some girls just give you that look like don't even ask if your hoping $80 as it ain't going to be happening.

Yea, paying for the hour was a big no-no on my part. I opted for the hour because I have mongered in Brazil and over there 1 hour GFE is standard. Went to HK for the first time last night. Overall, the night was ok, but I made numerous mistakes of which I hope to avoid the next time I visit, most likely tonight.

The first mistake I made was drinking an energy drink right before crossing the border. Being that it was my first time in Tijuana, the extra caffeine made me jittery and extra nervous. The reason I drank the energy drink was because I wanted to have enough energy for a good night. But that did not happen at all (the energy part).

Second mistake: forgot the prices of taxi to HK. I ended up paying $8. Rookie mistake I will not make again. Alas, I was dropped off in front of HK and I walked up to Hotel Cascada. I had reserved a room online this past weekend, and planned to use the VIP card to take advantage of their 80% discount. However, I was informed by the receptionist that they did not receive a reservation from me and asked to see my email for confirmation. My phone was on airplane mode because I do not have international data roaming. The manager made me turn off Airplane mode and show them the reservation otherwise they could not give me a room. This ticked me off because who knows how much opening up that email cost me in data charges. After reading the email, the receptionist magically found my reservation, and off I went to drop off my stuff before heading downstairs.

Angry and still jittery from the energy drink, I walked into HK and was a bit overwhelmed. I ended up sitting at the bar on the left to try to collect myself. Because I do not like beer, I opted to order some shots. I ended up having about 5 in less than 30 minutes. During this time, a random girl comes to me, sits on my lap, and orders a drink for herself. Third mistake. I had no interest in her, yet I ended up spending $10 on her. That's a good suggestion. I should try other bars for authentic Mexican / Latin music.

I like the bolero songs with the guitar, brooding, sweet and sad, like most Mexican girls. I don't much like the noisy brass bands in Chevelas or Malquerida. The bars should have better mixes of their music.

Carlos Santana was from Tijuana, had a great rock band with the best percussion. Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass played all the songs for James Bond's "Casino Royale. " It was a fun movie.

There are dozen's of bars in that one block, and many of them play nothing but Spanish music. HK is Gringo DizzyLand, so if you want to get closer to the culture, go elsewhere.

My favorite is El Norteno, where in the restroom, there's usually someone smoking something in a tiny glass pipe. And they sell 1-litre beers for less than what HK charges for a 12-ounce can!

However, after eating a few bites, the nausea and irregular breathing came back and I lost all appetite. I decided I had enough for tonight, so I paid for my meal, went to my room to get my stuff, and headed out of HK and towards the border.

Before I left, I extended my stay for an extra night. I had a memorable time in Hong Kong, but mostly not for good reasons. Tonight, I plan on going back and will most likely stay away from the alcohol, and especially any blue pills. Although alcohol does help me be more social with the girls, I definitely overdid it last night and things spiraled downhill. I'm hoping that girl I sat at restaurant Azul is working tonight. If so, I will definitely buy her a drink. I also hope I run into the girl that sat with me for 30 minutes. If I do, I will do a full interview.

When I got to Hong Kong had to pay $7 entrance fee? I don't remember Thursdays they made you pay to get in?

Low volume crowd which is why I love the weekdays. I bought a few beers throughout the night (5 $ really annoyed at this price tbh) and scoped out some talent. The recent mongers were right the chicas must have formed like a pseudo union because they all quoted 100 and was not really budging. I went earlier in like may and was able to go Arriba for $70 no problem. I eventually tricked a Chica by saying yes to her $80 and when we got to the room I just pretended I misjudged how much money I had she accepted. Oh the room was $18 FYI. I experimented by trying to get a cab ride back to the border for $3 and after 10 minutes nobody would take me up on it and so I just took the free shuttle back to the east pedestrian at 4 am.
