I even feel looking stupid using my phone doing the translation. You can be spotted to be a foreigner from half a mile away and I would even feel outright **unsafe* But I am speculating. I guess 90% of the ladies don't speak more than 5 words english, right? So is "not speaking spanish" really an option?

I'm going to Cartegena for the first time in December. Was just wondering where the best place to stay. Are there any hotels that are chica friendly, and if so, do they charge a chica fee. Airbnb, apartment, or hotel? I prefer to stay near the old town if that's where the action is. I've been to the Del Rey and Sportsman Lodge in San Jose many times, but Colombia is new to me. Mr JohnGault glad you liked my report. I just wonder how many phones you have lost by pulling your phone out when negotiating with a chica. For those of us that don't like to carry a cell phone when on the hunt, I guess we could carry a laptop for translation. Then again maybe not. They used to make the girls check in downstairs with their Cedula ID. Not sure any more.

This building used to be great about 20 years ago, I stayed there many times, and the ocean front view and breeze was great! Most of the apartments have no hot water for showers, though not necessary in Cartagena, use cable splitters through the ceiling and get their cable for free. Now the apartments are older. Like (New) Conquistador, it is older, mostly used by Colombian tourists who rent by the week or a few days at a time.

I just flew back into Cartagena this morning and I am only here til Sunday morning. I stayed up late in Medelland and challenged my self by pulling three chicas out of Lleras Park -one at a time.
