I agree it is possible to talk with the girls at Travel, but I find it more cumbersome than at other places. As far as taxis, most times I can just say "Classic" and the taxi knows, but you are right that Classic Hotel is more clear. 20 years ago, I couldn't find any taxi in the city who knew Travel Hotel. I find communicating with Jakarta taxi drivers can be a challenge, both because of lack of language skills (both on their part and on my part) and because of the tendency in Indonesian culture to say yes to everything and avoid questions and expressing doubt. H o w e v e are, Classic and Malio are such well-known places that I find there is never a problem with them. With Kings Cross and Sumo there was some confusing the first times I went there (some years ago), probably because they are so far away and not as frequently visited as Classic and Malio, but recently I have had no trouble with them either.

To be on the safe side, I would write down the name of the place and the address on a slip of paper, all in capital letters. Then you can give the slip of paper to the driver. I find some of them who may get stressed talking to an incomprehensible babbling foreigner find that much clearer and easier to deal with. If there is further confusion you could find it on google maps on your phone and hand him the phone to look at at the beginning of the drive.

I prefer GoJek its as same as UBER only on Bike.

Just tell the hotel doorman in charge of transportation where you want to go and he will communicate that to your taxi driver. There will be no problem going to places like Classic, Malio, 1001 ect. Kings Cross and Sumo are a little bit more of a challenge for some taxi drivers. I remember one time the doorman at the former Intercontinental spent 2 or 3 minutes conferring with the taxi driver until he understood where I wanted to go. Then it was easy sailing.

About returning, it is easy. Every taxi driver knows the Shang. Stick with Blue Bird ($) or Silver Bird ($$) Taxis. Taxis are plentiful outside of all the bordellos.
