So is Centro so much better than the prives in Copacabana? I didn't bother going to Centro because of several reasons, the most important would be that I was busy with sightseeing during the day and I thought that the prives in Centro wouldn't offer me anything better than what's available in Eden Spa or Delirio.

If you are saying that Bel Prazer, or whatever the top prive is called, provides higher quality garotas, then I will be there. If it is simply about saving 40 reais / fuck then its not worth it for me as a tourist.

Not any difference at all (quality prices etc) I would say prives at copacabana are even better.

Until you get to centro the best ones got already 10 or more local dicks inside.

Lazy gringos, could be. I'm just surprised that mongers go all the way to Brazil just to monger in Copacabana. To me it seems so weird. However, I shed no tears if they don't discover centro. There is always a risk recommending discrete prives to newbies.

I am one of the lazy gringos. Was always happy with the available fare in and around Copacabana inclusive of occasional trips downtown to 4 X 4. With no 4 X 4 now I may consider widening my horizons exploring centro.

Wow have times changed, there was a time when a man could walk up and down Copacabana during the day and get propositioned multiple times by many girls even 2 at a time. At night fugetaboutit especially during the nightly migration down to Help, girls might be looking to make the door cover charge just to get in to Help. So many times I've been asked if I wanted a quick BBBJ so they can make money just to get in to Help. I guess now it seems abnormal LOL.

What if we just don't like going downtown and walking from building to building or from floor to floor, up and down the stairs, in the elevator and out looking for that diamond or gem that you might see once in a while. I seen guys spend all day going from place to place then at the end of the day backtrack to screw the one that appealed to them. This is OK if this is what you like to do but not everybody does, there are other ways to have fun in the land of bunda.

There are always guys who park there ass most of the time in Copacabana.

Fifteen-twenty years ago, guys would hire guides to take them to Centro. Without a smartphone and very limited Portuguese, I would tell a cab driver where I wanted to go. When the driver got lost in Centro, I had sense enough to get out and know the direction I was heading.

From reading this thread it sounds like the massage places in Centro are like in office buildings, can someone describe the buildings and are they hard to locate, especially speaking no Portuguese?

For those who speak Portuguese, don't look like a perv and have winning personalities (encantador, charmoso) you could also enter a large office building on Rio Branco in Centro and ask the doormen. Good doormen can tell you what color a girl's underwear is on any given day. They definitely are up on where the latest privees are located. Whether they will tell you, is another story.

The few people here who actually speak Portuguese and over the years have spent months in Rio see the city and its venues from a totally different perspective. For example, I have no idea what all this discussion is about girl-friendly hotels, because I have never had an issue with bringing in different girls at multiple hotels around Rio. Others, whom have had issues can better address it.

As for your girl on the beach, that is how it used to be done. Particularly when Help was still around. A girl might be from the North zone or even from somewhere else in Brazil. She doesn't have a place to stay so is looking to hook up with a gringo. She can take shower, if you are nice, maybe get something to eat, make some money and get a few hours sleep.
